Chapter 93 Bringing in the Big Guns
Whitney looked up.
Rachel approached with an angry glare, dressed in a chic tweed outfit, heels clacking as she hurried over.
Harris sighed quietly and whispered to her, “Here comes trouble. I knew she’d be difficult.”
Whitney glanced at Harris in surprise.
As Rachel drew near and saw Noel standing nearby, she froze for a moment.
The urge to slap Whitney was diminished upon seeing him, though her haughty attitude remained.
“You’ve already left the company. What right do you have to mess with my design? Are you deliberately trying to sabotage my project now that you know I’m in charge?”
“You’re in charge of this?” Whitney was surprised
Howard Group had numerous talented architects, many of whom had won awards.
Rachel was merely a designer’s assistant, shouldn’t have been in charge of a project like this. This would inevitably cause dissatisfaction among other designers.
It had to be Damian who approved it. No wonder Harris had reacted the way he did earlier.
Rachel’s expression grew smug at Whitney’s surprise. “Remember when you wanted to join the
architecture department? Damian let me in instead. Now he’s trusted me to handle such an important project independently. Are you jealous?”
“Unfortunately for you, jealousy won’t get you anywhere. Talent speaks for itself, and I clearly have more than you.”
Whitney thought about the issues in the blueprints and how progress had been stalled for days. Harris had just mentioned that dealing with her was difficult.
It showed that Rachel didn’t care about the actual construction outcomes, she just didn’t want her design. to be altered.
“Yes, you certainly have talent,” Whitney smiled.
Talent for making Damian lose all common sense.
Rachel misinterpreted the sarcasm, basked in her triumph. She turned to Harris with a demanding tone,” Harris, why are you still here? There are only five days left. If we don’t finish on time, don’t expect me to take responsibility if the client holds us accountable.”
Despite the design flaws, Rachel seemed determined to pass the blame. Harris was frustrated and didn’t hold back.
“Ms. Yanes, if you want us to meet the deadline, we have to make adjustments here. We need a practical design

“There’s nothing wrong with my design! My blueprints are fine. You’re the one who doesn’t interpret it correctly and can’t communicate effectively on–site!”
Harris‘ face flushed with anger. He had been part of Howard Group’s major projects, and now Rachel was saying he couldn’t read blueprints.
“Are you saying I can’t read blueprints?” he asked.
Then what about Ms. Spencer here? She studied architectural design, and she also noticed the problem
with your design. So, are we both wrong?”
“She’s just a secretary. So what if she studied architecture? Does she have experience? Harris, you’ve been around for a while, yet you’re being misled by an amateur.” Rachel interrupted dismissively, leaving Harris speechless.
“My experience is indeed limited,” Whitney admitted honestly.
So limited that she only won a few international architectural design awards and studied under renowned architects.
Whitney glanced at Noel, who had remained silent. “Noel, why don’t you take a look?”
It was said that you shouldn’t use a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
For Noel, the issue would be trivial. But since Rachel was throwing her weight around and bullying others, neither she nor Harris was being taken seriously, she could only bring out the big gun to handle her.
Noel glanced at her and stepped forward to take the blueprints.
Rachel was full of confidence. She had painstakingly drawn the designs over several all–nighters and consulted others. They were already perfect.
“There’s nothing wrong with my design, right?” Rachel’s confidence faltered when she faced Noel.
After a moment, Noel calmly said, “There’s no problem.”
Whitney was stunned, and Harris was equally baffled.
Rachel smiled sweetly, “I knew you had a keen eye.”
The glaring issues were obvious. Had he really found nothing wrong?
Just as Whitney was about to speak, but Noel’s cool voice cut through, “I meant, there’s not a single part that isn’t a problem,”
Rachel’s smile froze. “What?”
“If you were submitting this to the Seabourke Architectural Institute, it wouldn’t even reach me. It would be rejected in the preliminary review.”
Noel didn’t need to look at the blueprints again and pointed out all the unreasonable parts he had noticed earlier.
“However, since you only have five days left in the schedule, there’s no time to start over. All we can do

now is make repairs.”
He asked Whitney to take a pen and circle the areas he mentioned on the blueprints.
Rachel looked unwilling but didn’t dare to offend Noel. She could only watch helplessly as her design was covered in red circles, to the extent the original was unrecognizable.
Noel turned to Harris, who looked stunned, and said, “You can report back to the company now.”
