Chapter 9
Jasmine exuded a cool and gentle demeanor, unlike Stella’s more petty and calculating
nature.
“Sorry, Mr. Reed, but I don’t really know you, and I don’t care who you bring or want to bring along as your companion. It’s none of my business,” I stated firmly, giving Jasmine a quick glance before returning my attention to him. “But if you continue to harass me, I will call the police.”
“Stella, I’m your boyfriend!” Justin frowned.
I gave him a cold glance and turned to Raleigh, who was approaching me. “Sorry, my boyfriend just arrived.”
I walked up to Raleigh and confidently took his arm. “Raleigh, where have you been? I’ve been waiting for you,” I said with my head tilted, smiling at his extraordinarily handsome face.
Raleigh looked at Justin for a moment, about to answer my question, but then a group of executives surrounded us, looking at me with confusion. “Mr. Landon, we rarely see you attending an event with a female companion. This lady here looks familiar.”
“She’s an employee of my company, Stella Wright,” Raleigh introduced.
Justin suddenly lifted his head, unable to contain his anger anymore. He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the villa’s entrance.
The onlookers were stunned.
“Wait! Isn’t Stella Wright Mr. Reed’s girlfriend? Then who is this girl…”
All eyes turned to Jasmine.
Jasmine looked embarrassed, holding her skirt as she hurriedly left the villa. As soon as she reached the door, she heard Justin’s voice rang out, accusing me.
“Stella! Are you kidding me? Even if you don’t remember me, don’t you remember that you’re an employee of Reed Corporation? Why are you working at Landon Group?!” Justin exclaimed angrily.
“I’ve been working at Landon Group for a month after recovering. I’m already a full–time employee there,” I said calmly.
Justin was taken aback.
He had been pursuing Jasmine all month and hadn’t paid attention to anything else. The sound of high heels clicking on the floor echoed as Jasmine strode past us with determination, her presence loud enough for Justin to hear.

Chapter 9
Seeing Jasmine upset, Justin didn’t hesitate to grab her.
“Jasmine, where are you going?” Justin’s voice softened.
Jasmine paused, turning to look at Justin. Her usually gentle and pure demeanor now held
anger.
Furrowing her brow, she glared at Justin.
“Justin, what do you take me for? It took you a month to persuade me to come with you,
but do you know what everyone in there is saying about me? They’re calling me a mistress!
“What did I do to deserve this humiliation?!”
Tears welled up in Jasmine’s eyes as she poured out her grievances to Justin.
“Who said that? I’ll teach them a lesson!” Justin tried to console her.
“I’m leaving.” Jasmine shook off his hand and walked straight to the roadside.
Without hesitation, Justin chased after her and ushered her into the passenger seat. After doing all this, he seemed to realize I was still there.
“Stella, I’ll explain everything later,” Justin said before getting into the car.
Meanwhile, Jasmine, in the passenger seat, rolled down the window and glanced at me with a contemptuous and smug look.
It was as if she was declaring herself the winner and me the loser.
She had trained Justin like a dog.
The next day.
Justin stormed into Landon Group.
But this time, he wasn’t there to find me. Instead, he barged into Raleigh’s office, causing quite a commotion.
I grabbed a fruit knife and followed after. (1)
