Chapter 19
As our lips met, Raleigh’s pupils suddenly contracted.
This was our first kiss.
I had kissed him once before, but it was just on the cheek.
He lifted my head with his hand, deepening the kiss. After a while, he rolled over, allowing me to lie on the bed, and fervently kissed my lips.
It was intense, almost animalistic.
The air grew hot and humid.
“Raleigh, Raleigh,” I struggled to catch my breath, my tongue tingling, and I placed my hand on his chest, blushing deeply. “Aren’t we rushing things a bit?” 1
Raleigh’s eyes were deep, with a hint of tenderness.
“Sorry, I might have drunk too much,” he said, but he pressed his body against mine, wrapped his arms around my waist, and drifted off to sleep.
I struggled a bit but found I couldn’t move.
I glanced at him and noticed he appeared relaxed as if he was truly asleep.
Since I couldn’t leave, I spent the night at Raleigh’s place.
Early the next morning, I rolled over and fell into a warm embrace. Opening my eyes, I saw Raleigh lying beside me.
However, upon closer inspection, I noticed he had changed his clothes and washed his face.
I quickly got up from bed, but as I moved, Raleigh woke up to. He reached out to stop me from getting off the bed.
“I… made breakfast,” Raleigh said in hesitation.
“Okay, I’ll wash up and go have breakfast,” I said, rushing into the bathroom. I noticed the toiletries neatly arranged on the vanity, indicating Raleigh must have been up early to prepare them for me.
When I came back out, I saw Raleigh standing at the door waiting for me.
“Raleigh, you can eat first.” I smiled.
“I want to wait for you,” Raleigh replied while looking determined. Then, I noticed his ears turning red.
Normally, Raleigh appeared very composed, so I was surprised to see him blushing so

easily.
After dinner, Raleigh suddenly asked, “Are we officially a couple now?”
I smiled and replied, “Of course.”
Raleigh tightened his lips slightly, a faint smile forming on his lips.
After dinner, Raleigh allowed me to wander around the house. However, he forbade me from entering the kitchen. I glanced into the kitchen and noticed the food containers he had brought over to me when I was hospitalized.
Raleigh must have prepared the meals himself.
I walked into the living room and surveyed the layout, noticing the cool–toned decor, and it seemed like Raleigh lived alone.
There were some cards on the table in the living room.
They looked somewhat familiar, so I picked one up and glanced at it. My expression stiffened slightly, and I slipped one into my bag.
“Raleigh, I have to go now,” I called out to the kitchen.
However, as I reached for the door handle, Raleigh caught up and pressed me against the door, kissing me deeply. He looked into my eyes and said, “Go and come back soon.”
Feeling a bit dazed, I left the villa. My head was still spinning upon returning home.
When I got home, my dad told me about Justin’s arrest. I remained silent for a while, then nodded and went upstairs.
I pulled out a large box and took out a bunch of gifts from inside.
I had only opened one of the gifts before.
I assumed they were mistakenly delivered to me and left them there, expecting someone to claim them. 1
However, when I compared the cards inside with the ones I had taken from Raleigh’s house, I realized they were identical.
Since university, Raleigh had sent me gifts on every birthday, with only a simple “Happy Birthday” written on the cards.
However, on the birthday I spent with Justin, there was an extra line that said, “Hope you’re happy.”
Each gift was thoughtful and expensive, ranging from high heels to dresses to crystal balls…
I picked up my phone and called Raleigh with a smile. “Raleigh, let’s get married.”

“Alright,” he answered without hesitation.”
