Chapter 94
The document was signed, and Amber got everything that she wanted. She no longer had any use for Grandma.
I could guess what she was going to say next. Subconsciously, I stood in front of Grandma, trying to stop her.
“Amber, stop it! Get lost! Go away!” I screamed.
Even though I could hear my voice loud and clear, they could not see nor hear me at all.
In her current health, Grandma could not afford to go through such emotional turmoil.
In order to find out where I was, Grandma grabbed Amber’s hand. “What do you mean by that? What happened to Ally? Why won’t I be able to see her again?”
“I mean what I said. Allison is long dead.”
Grandma’s expression froze, standing there in a daze as she muttered, “What… What did you say?”
Her voice was ever so soft, making me feel that she was about to shatter into a million pieces
in the next instant.
I reached out to cover her ears. “Grandma, don’t listen to her. Don’t listen to a word she says.‘
I knew Grandma wouldn’t be able to accept the truth that was about to be revealed, hoping against hope that someone would interrupt them right then.
What happened to Rebecca, who usually stayed by Grandma’s side? What was she doing in the kitchen that took so long? The other maids weren’t around either. All this was part of Amber’s
carefully laid out plans.
Amber smiled mockingly, “Old hag, I’m saying that your granddaughter is dead! I cut off that finger of hers a long time ago. I didn’t just cut off her finger, but I also did a lot of other things-
to her.”
While Grandma was still dumbstruck, Amber took the human–skin book away from the meditation corner.
“Old hag, do you know what this is made of?”
“Amber! Shut up!” I lunged at her. I was infuriated, wanting to kill her on the spot even if I knew that, in my current state, I had no way to harm her in the slightest. However, I still lunged at her instinctually.
I wanted to kill her! I wanted to stop her!
I had no idea if it was because of my deep hatred, a powerful gust of wind rushed into the

room.
The candle flames in the meditation corner swayed violently, and the smoke from the incense billowed about in the room.
The holy book, caught in the strong winds, started to flick through its pages, filling the room with rustling sounds.
I screamed at the top of my lungs as if I were a terrible monster that had merged with the chilling winds.
The sudden howling winds cut off the words that were about to leave Amber’s mouth.
The weather was wonderful just a moment ago, yet strong winds started picking up all of a sudden, which made it feel rather creepy.
Grandma held onto her walking stick, her body shaking precariously in the wind as she glared at Amber. “What is it made of?”
Amber regained her senses at that moment, obviously unconcerned with the supernatural.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have done something so evil to her biological sister.
“Oh, this thing. It’s a human–skin book made with your granddaughter’s skin. You read the book every day. Didn’t you feel any sense of familiarity?”
Grandma’s aged face froze on the spot. She started to question Amber, thinking that she was hearing things. “What did you say this was made of?”
Amber ran her finger over the book. “Look, it feels nice to touch. What animal leather could match this kind of silky smoothness? It’s as smooth as a baby’s butt.
“It’s a shame that Allison’s abdominal area was pierced before she died, so there are quite a few large gaps in her skin, making it imperfect. Otherwise, I could’ve had a pristine skin to be made into artworks of greater value!”
