Mick decided that if Nydia could balance her family and work after this, he wouldn’t make things difficult for her when she came to reconcile later, for Ted’s sake.
But given that she’d married him for money, he wouldn’t let her manage any financial matters.
“Let’s go. I’ll take you down there. Nydia will come to you after her contest.” He held onto Ted and led him to a seat near the front.
The front row was reserved for judges, all of whom were senior figures in the medical field. Sitting in the center was Homer Barton, a legendary figure of the medical field and Buck’s grandfather.
Mick exchanged greetings with Homer and took a seat right behind him.
Shortly after, the host announced the start of the finals. The final round consisted of emergency response scenarios, diagnosis of major illnesses, and simulated surgeries.
Then, Mona made her grand entrance. After introducing herself, the audience erupted into cheers both at the venue and in the livestream.
She began asking questions and supervising the contestant’s simulated surgeries.
Since she was a celebrity, she had a dedicated camera that followed her up close. While she observed a contestant’s surgery up close, the entire process would be displayed in the

The first few groups performed well, and the judges gave them fair and moderate scores. No one had any complaints.
Mona provided a commentary on the techniques of the contestants as they performed their surgeries. It was professional, her image was decent, and her voice was sweet. She drew thunderous applause from the audience.

He sat in the front, so his loud voice caught the attention of many.
Mona smiled at him warmly and glanced at Mick on purpose. Sure enough, his eyes were full of admiration for her.
She occasionally locked eyes with Mick from the audience and stirred playful reactions from the crowd. Her fans in the live stream began shipping them as a couple and calling them a perfect match.
Everyone began talking about the celebrity doctor, and her popularity surged. Even her previously unnoticed drama started gaining attention.
Mona was thrilled. She could tell that this time she’d achieve both career success and a

Then, it felt as if the heavens favored her because when it was Nydia’s turn, the latter’s gaze constantly wandered toward the audience, and she lost focus several times.
If not for Nelson’s solid skills and independent completion of the pre–surgery checks, their team might’ve been eliminated.
The host had to remind her. “Nydia Vega, please focus.”
Nydia quickly apologized.
Mick, who was sitting behind Homer, sneered. Nydia was indeed here to make a spectacle of herself. Seeing him in the audience left her completely flustered. She’d gone to great lengths. just to get his attention.
Yet, he hadn’t expected her to go further. He watched as Nydia called for a pause and walked toward him, and he figured she was doing all that just to return to the Wilcher family.
His expression darkened. Wanting to announce their marriage on his terms was one thing, and being forced into it was another.
If Nydia used this opportunity to pressure him into acknowledging her status as his wife just to gain popularity, he’d be completely humiliated.
Mona was worried that Nydia might cause trouble and quickly intervened. “Nydia, come back!
