How could he have these feelings?
“Nelson, did you lose a game of truth or dare?” Nadia asked, trying to make light of the
situation.
For a moment, hurt flashed in Nelson’s eyes. “Nadia, don’t you trust my feelings for you?”
It wasn’t that she didn’t believe in him. It was just… too sudden. It felt almost unreal.
“Nadia, I’m serious. I like you, and I want to be with you.
“Nelson, you might not know, but I’m married and have a child,” she replied, trying to make
him understand.
Nelson nodded. “I know. Even though you hide it well, from the way Mick acts towards you and the things Ted has said… it’s not hard to figure out.”
Nadia felt like her brain was about to fry.
“So, what are you saying? You’re trying to be the other man?”
“I also know you’ve already filed for divorce. In two or three days, you’ll be free.
“on don’t have to accept me, but I hope you’ll allow me to pursue you.”
He had wanted to take things slowly, but after the “hacker incident“, he realized there were others who could snatch her away. He couldn’t wait anymore.
Nadia took a moment to calm down, her mind slowly processing everything. She had to admit that Nelson was a good guy.

“Rejecting me is your choice, and pursuing you is mine,” Nelson said, stepping closer. “Nadia, we can take it slow.”
He closed the distance again, and Nadia instinctively took another step back.

Nelson was about to step forward and reach for her, but before he could, someone grabbed his wrist. He felt his bones nearly snap.
Before he could figure out who had interrupted his confession, he was punched in the face, his glasses knocked to the ground, and blood began to trickle from the corner of his mouth.
“Mick, what the hell?”
Nadia had been about to turn and run, but this sudden turn of events froze her in place.
Mick’s eyes were bloodshot, his face twisted with anger. He looked like he hadn’t slept at all. His punches were hard, and he hit Nelson with a fury that seemed like he wanted to kill him
“Who the hell do you think you are, messing with my woman?”
Not even satisfied with the beating, he turned to yell at Nadia.
“You called the cops on me last night for this pretty boy? We’re still not divorced, but you’re already lining up your next man?”
Nadia felt unfairly accused. A surge of frustration rose in her. What was wrong with having so
much charm?
Nelson finally managed to sit up. He touched his bruised face and spat out some blood.
“Nadia is the one I’m pursuing. She hasn’t agreed to anything yet, so there’s no need for you to humiliate her like this.”
“Do you want to fight? Bring it on, I’m ready!”
“Nadia, get out of here!”
Mick’s eyes
burned with rage, and he swung his fist at Nelson again.
“You’ve got the guts to go after my wife? Just who do you think you are?”
