Elijah’s heart ached for Yvonne. He let out a small sigh after that.

I glanced at Yvonne, who kept peeking into the ward. My lips were pressed into a thin line.
“What about her? Can you cut off all ties with her?”
Reluctance and hesitation filled Elijah’s eyes at that moment. He gritted his teeth, finally making up his mind.
“I’ve already thought it through. You’ll be living in the south, so I’ll arrange for Yvonne to stay in the north. Since you two will live far away from each other, you won’t affect each other at all! Isn’t this great?”
I got up immediately and delivered a heavy slap across Elijah’s face.
“You want us to live far away from each other? What wishful thinking! Elijah Montgomery, I’m getting divorced no matter what!”
After that, I pressed the call button that was lodged above my bed.
A nurse soon came into the ward. After hearing my request, she ordered Elijah to leave with a cold expression.

bedrest.”
The next day, I was discharged from the hospital. I packed up my luggage immediately before rushing toward the airport with my baby in tow.
That afternoon, I returned to my grandmother’s house.
When Grandma saw her beloved great–grandson, she grinned from ear to ear.
“Oh, my darling great–grandson! I finally get to see you, my dear!”
My grandmother was a university professor who had already retired from her job. She was one of the rare intelligent and educated people of her generation.
