Elijah’s appearance was a lot worse than the last time I saw him. He didn’t even bother shaving his beard, and his complexion looked pretty gaunt.
“You stole my clients and spread rumors about me! Are you trying to drive me up the wall? I knew you were vile from the start, Jeanette! God, I must’ve been the unluckiest man alive to have married you!”
I merely shot Elijah a fake smile.
“All I did was withdraw my resources from your company. Why are you kicking up a fuss over it? At the end of the day, we’re still husband and wife. Isn’t it better for us to part ways arnicably?”
Elijah glared at me angrily. “How dare you bring that up!”
Honestly speaking, the longer I looked at Elijah, the more his face disgusted me.

Elijah glared at me with bloodshot eyes. Just as I thought he was about to beat me up, suddenly fell on his knees and slapped himself violently in the face.

“Please forgive me, honey! I know that I’m wrong for doing this! I shouldn’t have cheated on you! Please tell them to come back to me, okay? I can’t survive without you! I really… really don’t want to live like that anymore!”
I merely gazed down at him haughtily.
“You seriously think I’ll forgive you? Elijah, I want nothing more than to watch you die in front of me!”
Elijah raised his head to stare at me in disbelief
At that moment, Yvonne waddled over hurriedly. She was worried that I’d get together with Elijah, so she kept glaring at me the entire time.

With bloodshot eyes, Elijah shoved Yvonne away from him with all his strength. “Get lost! Don’t touch me!”
Yvonne failed to catch her balance, so she ended up falling to the ground heavily. She clutched her stomach while moaning in pain. Blood quickly trickled from between her legs.
At that moment, Elijah visibly panicked as well.
