“I’d like to see who’s causing trouble in my company!” My father stood in the center of the room, commanding authority.
Garreth immediately approached Dad humbly.
“Sir, it’s just a young lady who failed her internship. Her private life is a mess, and she almost cost the company millions by sabotaging her coworker. An uncultured person like her has no place in our company!”
“Uncultured?”
Thinking he now had the CEO’s support, Garreth grew even bolder as he dragged my name through the mud with smug confidence.
Before Garreth could finish his sentence, a slap landed squarely on his cheek.
“Who gave you the gall to insult my daughter?”
Garreth was left stunned, and the entire room, including Johannes and the other employees, was thrown into shocked silence.
“What? Isn’t Tiffany Mr. Yarn’s daughter?”
“S–Sir, you must be mistaken!” Garreth stammered, clutching his swollen cheek as his bewildered gaze darted between Tiffany and me.
The next moment, Dad delivered a firm kick, sending Garreth sprawling to the floor. “Do you think I wouldn’t recognize my own daughter?”
Garreth let out a groan as he hit the ground, his face a mixture of disbelief and confusion.
No one in the room had expected this revelation. The Tiffany they had endlessly flattered turned out to be a fraud, while the one they had scorned–me–was the true heiress of Yarn Group.
“I sent my driver to pick up my daughter after work, and yet you dared spread rumors in my company, claiming she was a mistress! Worse, you blatantly stole her project proposal.
“From this moment on, you are no longer a manager in this company. I will also be pursuing legal action against you for defamation!”
My father’s arrival was like a boulder crashing into calm waters, sending ripples of chaos throughout the room. Everyone was too shocked to remain indifferent any longer.
Tiffany was the first to react. With tears streaming down her face, she rushed toward me, her voice trembling. “Yvonne, I’m sorry. I was wrong. But I had no choice. Garreth forced me to impersonate you.”
