The moment my words finished, Karen said with a shriek, “Frank, I am your mother! I have dreamed of telling you about this for years!
“On countless nights, even with Gloria’s death threats, I still wished I could tell you this!
“I was not afraid of death, but I did fear if that witch would do anything to you!”
After saying that, she tumbled backward into Roy’s arms and burst into tears.
Hugging Karen with self–condemnation, Roy consoled her while wiping her tears gently.
Then, he turned to Frank with a harsh demand.
“Frank, call Karen Mom right now! Don’t you know how much she cares about you? She thinks you even matter more than herself!
“You’re a grown man, Frank. Now, for all the tears Karen has shed, it’s time for you to return her kindness.
“If you dare to call that bitch Mom, I will punch you in the face.”
Casting a sharp glare at Karen, Frank glanced at Roy and asked

severely, “I can call Aunt Karen Mom, but what are you going to do with my mom? She has shaped my life.”
Roy’s face immediately sulked, and he replied impatiently, “You have called that bitch Mom for twenty years. You are the person who allows her to experience the joy of being a mother.”
“She raised you for her vanity. People all take your success as her credit, flattering that she is a good entrepreneur and an excellent mother, but all she did was to force you to study, study, and study for her reputation,” he added.
Then, he continued in disdain, “You think the great Morrison Group can’t make you an outstanding talent? She made you suffer on purpose to learn those useless things. I won’t sue her for that. Let’s just move on without her.”
Frank looked shocked. He pressed his lips and asked out of the last strand of hope, “Dad, do you mean that I have to disown Mom and care about her no more, even if something terrible happens to her?”
Roy just glanced at me with disgust.
“She ruined our family, son. I’m generous enough not to send her to jail. She is not allowed to stay in the Morrison family. What she is up to from now on has nothing to do with us.”
People from the Hawkins family couldn’t help but erupt.
“Bullshit, Roy! You set Gloria up! Why didn’t you make it public until Gloria gave her shares to your son?”

misappropriating the Hawkins Group after her father passed

The Morrison Group was filled with Roy’s bootlickers, and they immediately countered back.
“Ms. Hawkins stole Karen’s son and accused us of being greedy. Ridiculous!”
“The great Morrison Group doesn’t need your pennies. Don’t forget that your business is going downhill. You should thank Mr. Morrison for saving you from bankruptcy.”
They made a point. As Frank grew up, I put aside a lot of business to take him to see the world so that he wouldn’t be led astray by that crooked woman.
They were right about the downhill of my company. On the contrary, the Morrison Group thrived due to the Hawkins Group’s fund support and Frank’s innovative management.
Out of sympathy, many people spoke for me.

The plot of reality was even more exciting than that of a movie.
Roy had a child with his younger brother’s widow and lied to his legitimate wife to raise that kid for twenty years.
