James acted quickly, making Lucy post an apology right away.
Her reputation in the entertainment industry was completely ruined.
Emma found Lucy both hateful and pitiful – throwing away her career for a man. Thankfully, James didn’t struggle anymore. Three days later, Emma got another
divorce appointment.
This time, James didn’t make Emma wait. He arrived at the civil affairs office early. They didn’t speak at all, just signing papers and getting certificates – everything
went smoothly.
Looking at the bright red divorce certificate, Emma felt a weight lift from her heart. Before parting, James said: “Emma, I hope you’ll be happy after leaving me.” Emma replied casually: “I love myself – I will be happy. Don’t disturb me in the future. I don’t want to see you.”
Her flight to London was in two days. Her job was already arranged – she could start work immediately.
Before leaving, Sarah brought lots of baby items, clearly ready to be a godmother. Emma laughed: “Why such a hurry?”
Sarah nodded: “Of course! I’m already studying childcare. I’ll be the best.
godmother ever – don’t underestimate me!”
Emma thought without Sarah, she wouldn’t have known how to carry on.
Soon it was time to leave. She said goodbye to her mother and brother, starting her journey abroad.
As the plane took off, Emma was truly free.
Life in London went well. Emma’s work abilities were outstanding, and she was quickly promoted.
According to her plan, in two years she would open her own studio.
As for her child, she was born the following summer.
A lovely little girl, Emma named her Rose.
She believed that even as a single mother, she could give this child plenty of love. When the baby was born, James tried to send money through Jack, wanting to see

his flesh and blood once, but Emma refused.
She heard from her brother that the Foster family business wasn’t as strong
anymore. If the economy stayed bad, they might go bankrupt.
This meant the Winters and Fosters would finally cut ties completely.
