Chapter 36

It was a physics textbook, clearly, she was preparing feta lecture.
She worked with both hands, and the difference in handwriting between the two was noticeable. However, both were beautiful in their own way and had unique
styles.
Aurora was extremely focused when she worked, so much so that she didn’t notice Owen observing her for a while. That was, until she felt a weight settle on her shoulders and the chill that had seeped into her body was suddenly Mocked out.
A faini warmth spread from behind her, prompting her to tum her head slightly to look.
A suit jacket had been draped over her shoulders.
She quickly looked up, and what came into view was Owen’s refined, cool, and handsome face.
“It’s getting chilly. Put this on so that you don’t catch a cold.” His low voice suggested concern, and histone made it clear there was no room for argument.
A faint light flickered in her eyes, and she calmly replied, “Thank you, Mr. Jenson.”
Owen responded with a hum. He then sat down beside her and, in doing so, accidentally knocked into her briefcase. The briefcase tilted, and the contents spilled out, making a loud clattering noise, Owen immediately bent down to help clean up.
But then, his eyes landed on an appointment letter from the Academy of Sciences and a high–level ID badge from a prestigious research institute.
Even major corporations could rarely recruit people at this level no matter how much money they spent.
And his wife… tumed out to be a top–tier scientist of this caliber?
He had always thought Aurora was just an exceptional physics professor. But now, it was clear her identity was far more extraordinary. She was a member of the Academy of Sciences and held the highest–level senior researcher position.
No wonder William spoke so highly of her, with such respect and admiration. It made sense now… Aurora wasn’t just any
y professor. She was really capable.
As Owen remained silent, still processing this revelation, a pale hand suddenly reached down and quietly picked up the ID badge.
“Sorry,” Oven muttered, quickly picking things up.
“it’s fine.”
Aurora, with her hand hooked up to the rv, could only slide the badge back into the briefcase. Owen carefully placed the appointment letter into the briefcase as well
“The police are saying Whitney’s fans caused the trouble.”
Upon hearing this, Aurora’s brows furrowed slightly.
Whitney’s fans?
How dare they?
She had gone to the hospital after receiving
ng a call from Toby on the street, so it was a s
aspur–of–the–moment decision. No one should have followed her, so how did those fans know she was there?
If Whitney herself had gone after her, Aurora wouldn’t have been surprised. After all, it wouldn’t have been the first time something like that had happened. Owen watched her quietly, thinking she was upset because of the connection to the Klein family. He said in a low voice, trying to reassure her, “I’ll handle this,“” Aurora paizsed for a moment before responding. She didn’t want to seem stubborn and replied coolly, “Fine, but the academy is still worried. We must screen everything thoroughly and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.”
This kind of thing couldn’t be dismissed. It wasn’t just a personal grudge–it was enough to make the higher–ups anxious.
Matters like these were handled with extreme caution. They couldn’t afford to miss anything even if it meant spending more time and energy.
Though she didn’t say it outright, Owen understood exactly what she meant.
