“She’s a pariah now. The Walter family doesn’t need someone like her,” he scoffed.
I shook my head and sighed dramatically. “Funny, Allen, we Bells don’t need trash like you either.
“You’re the real pariah here. You chased after novelty and ignored Lydia’s scandalous history because it suited you at the time. And when things fell apart, you were the first to abandon her. You don’t even have the basic decency to stand by her. As her boyfriend, you were a failure too. I loathe trash like you. Stay away from me!”

Chapter 9
Allen’s face turned pale as I tore into him, yet he persisted with a pained expression, “Is there really no hope for us?”
I laughed. “Do you think you’re even remotely competitive? The entertainment industry is full of handsome guys. You have no chance compared to them. Why would I want you?”
He froze, clearly not expecting me to be so blunt
“Rosie, am I just replaceable to you? Does it not matter who becomes your fiance?”
I shook my head. “Of course not. Only someone with good character, good looks, and wealth has a chance of standing beside me. Sadly, you don’t tick any of those boxes.”
“Do you think the Walters could even dream of standing next to us Bells, if it weren’t for the friendship between our old folks?”
My words left him shattered. He nodded silently, turned, and walked away with a defeated look.
I shrugged. Everything I said was true. I just hoped he would not take it too hard.
After that, Allen never sought me out again, and I was happy to finally have some peace.
As for Lydia, she clashed with him and tried to force a marriage by claiming she was pregnant, but Jade was not having it. She shipped Allen off to an older wealthy woman and beat Lydia so severely that she miscarried. Lydia retaliated by calling the police and filing a lawsuit, creating chaos. None of it had anything to do with me anymore.
The drama began production, and I was both a supporting actress and a producer.
“Not taking the lead role this time?” Natasha teased me.
“I can be the lead whenever I want. But I like this supporting role–it’s complex and contradictory,” I replied with a grin. “I wanted to challenge myself.”
Natasha ruffled my hair without saying much.
A week after, Elise arrived on set. After giving everyone some advice, she turned to me and warned, “This is my passion project, Rosie. If you screw it up, I’ll take back all the copyrights!”
Her usual scare tactics did not bother me. I hugged her with a bright smile. “Don’t worry. I’m an award–winning actress, remember?“.
Everyone was surprised by how close we were.
Natasha laughed and said, “They’re sisters. No need to be so shocked.”
The crew finally understood how I managed to secure the novel’s copyrights so easily. Even Dylan was stunned before muttering, “Looks like I had bet on the right horse.
