Before I completely lost control and lunged forward, someone moved faster than I did.

Through my blurred vision, I saw a figure kick Julian hard, sending him flying across the room.

A sharp scream from Averil pierced the air, mingling with the sickening thuds of fists colliding with flesh.

The sounds jolted me from my extreme emotions, pulling me back to reality.

I rubbed my eyes, and as my vision cleared, I saw Norman a few steps away, pinning Julian to the floor and beating him relentlessly.

Julian wasn’t weak by any means, but against Norman, he didn’t stand a chance.

1 stood frozen, watching for a moment, before finally snapping out of it.

“Ash, stop!” I rushed forward, throwing my arms around the enraged man.

Norman was still seething, his heavy breaths loud and uneven. His gaze, dark and veno

was fixed on Julian.

“Which hand did you use to hit her?”

Julian, still reeling from the brutal assault, struggled to regain his composure.

Even though he had heard of Norman’s reputation, experiencing it firsthand was a different. story entirely. The rumors hadn’t been exaggerated.

“Mr. Carter.” Julian sneered through a split lip, trying to feign confidence “Breaking into my home and resorting to violence? Don’t you think you’re taking this a bit

“This is what you call far?” Norman’s entire presence radiated lethal intent, his dark, stormy gaze cold as death itself.

“Let me show you what ‘far‘ really looks like.”

He glanced toward the line of black–suited bodyguards standing by the door. “Break his hand.”

One of the guards, a bald man with a sharp, steely glare, stepped forward. A short blade slid from his sleeve, glinting ominously as he approached.

Julian’s bravado faltered, fear flashing across his face. “Norman, this is Harbor City–we live in a civilized society. You can’t just do this! You’re a man of status. Is someone like Victoria really worth all this trouble? She’s nothing but used goods.”
