William returned to the country with Hannah.
He wanted to see me one last time.
Instead of finding me, he ran into Eleanor.
After William took photos of Eleanor’s intimate moments with another man that day, he sent them directly to her, leaving her in a panic.
She wanted to explain everything to William.
But William had already left the country.
Now, she finally got to see William.
“Let me explain, William. That man forced me into it. You’re the one I truly love…” Eleanor pleaded.
“I got rid of the baby and cut off all contact with that bastard.
“William, would you marry me again?”
Despite her best attempt to appear pitiful, William showed no forgiveness this time.
He snapped at her with an icy expression.
“Fuck off!”

Eleanor reached out to grab William’s arm, but he violently shook her off.
“Don’t let me see you ever again. Get out!”
Under Hannah’s guidance, William found my body in the
morgue.
His hands trembled as he lifted the white sheet, and at the sight of me, tears began streaming down his face again.
He cried for a long time, and despite it being a corpse, he reached out several times to caress my cheeks.
“Hazel, I’m sorry. I was wrong to treat you that way.
“I know it’s too late for words now, but I still need to apologize to you. I’m so sorry.
“I was blind to see what was right before me. I failed your love. I broke my promises to take care of you, and that led to your tragic death…
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”
He kept apologizing repeatedly as if those were the only words he knew.
His words rang hollow.
They couldn’t change anything.
I was dead, wasn’t I?

I wanted him to hear me say it was okay if I could.
Not as forgiveness but as a way to free myself.
As I thought this, I heard those words.
They came softly from my sister’s lips.

Eleanor was his first target. He imprisoned her on embezzlement charges.
She was pregnant when she went to prison.
She told William she terminated the pregnancy, but that was a lie.
Due to her condition, she had to wait until after giving birth to serve her sentence, but that didn’t matter much in the end.
William also made sure Eleanor’s lover ended up in prison on separate charges.
Then there was Hannah.

William hated her for deceiving me.
But she was still my sister, after all.
He chose not to harm her.
He just took back the fifty million dollars he had given her.
This left her right back where she started, hounded by debt collectors.
Finally, there was William himself.
After learning of my death, he became a shell of his former self.
He sold off his company shares and disappeared without a trace.
No one knew where he went.
One day, I met the spirits who guide souls to the afterlife.
I begged the King of Hell to ensure I wouldn’t meet William in my next life.
So I was reborn.
In my next life, I hope to find true happiness.
I wanted to be free, unbound by love and living on my own
terms.
