After I died, my husband treated my twin sis… 1/4
Chapter 6
That same day, Hannah and William went to the Courthouse to get their divorce papers.
After finalizing the divorce, William handed over all property division matters to his lawyer to deal with Hannah.
William would be a jerk in relationships but was generous regarding money.
He converted all his properties, luxury cars, and even company shares into cash, transferring fifty million dollars into Hannah’s
account.
Hannah was over the moon when she received the fifty million.
She was so happy that she even went to the morgue where my body lay and bowed several times.
“Oh, sister, my dear sister, even in death, you’re helping me make money…” she said gleefully.
I watched this with disbelief.
But what surprised me more was discovering that my spirit could move freely.
I no longer had to stay tethered to Hannah’s side all the time.
With this new freedom, I thought momentarily and decided to find William.
Chapter 6
I wasn’t so much looking forward to seeing how he was doing after our divorce as I was simply curious.

William, who always kept his phone silent, turned the volume on for an entire week.
Every notification and every screen lighting up made his heart skip a beat.
He would freeze momentarily whenever he heard his phone ring.
He seemed to be waiting for someone’s message.
But who was he waiting for?
Hannah?
Hannah had already taken the money and disappeared to pay off her debts.
As for me, I was supposedly dead, so I couldn’t possibly message him.
But why didn’t he call me himself if he wanted to find me?
By the eighth day, he hadn’t received any messages.
Instead, Eleanor showed up at his house again.
This time, she wore a shy smile on her face.
She placed her hand on her stomach, gently stroking it.

William didn’t look happy. Instead, he hesitated and said, “But I haven’t touched you recently. How could you be…”
Eleanor cut him off, “I’m about twenty weeks along, more than two months. Don’t you remember? At the company party two months ago, you were drunk, and we…”
As Eleanor spoke, William started to remember.
He had gotten drunk at the company party two months ago.
He woke up naked in bed with Eleanor the following day.
He promised Eleanor he would take responsibility for her then. For the past two months, he had showered her so much attention that he neglected me.
William returned to reality, and Eleanor continued, “Now that you’re divorced from Hazel, we can be together openly.
“Plus, I’m already carrying your child. If we don’t get married, it will seriously damage my reputation and the baby’s future…”
Her voice began to crack as she spoke.
Tears welled up in her reddening eyes, tugging at William’s heartstrings.
He finally gave in to Eleanor’s request, pulled out his phone, and sent a message to “me“.
William: [Eleanor and I are getting married.]

But like his calls, the text message sank into silence, never receiving a response.
