Chapter 17
Justin teared up.
He was truly homeless now.
Without any friends and lovers.
Justin suddenly remembered his university graduation, a time when he got into trouble, ended up in the hospital, and was eventually kicked out of home by his father. It was Stella who came to his rescue and helped him out of that situation.
Before, Stella would readily come to his side with just one call or message.
“Stella…” Justin sat at my doorstep for a long time. When he saw me come out of the house, he quickly stood up and called out to me, his gaze fixed on me.
I paused my steps, looking at the miserable Justin, and was stunned for a moment.
Justin got beaten up, his face bruised, his eyes devoid of their usual sparkle, and his clothes stained with mud.
“Mr. Reed, do you need something?” I asked expressionlessly.
Hearing the words “Mr. Reed,” Justin’s eyes welled up with tears as he looked at me.
He knew there was no chance for him to get back with me.
“Stella, if only you hadn’t lost your memory, we would have been married by now.” Justin choked up.
I let out a cold chuckle, laughing at how lightly he thought of it.
“I’ve actually remembered you all this time, but you never once showed any remorse from the moment I was hospitalized until now. Justin, you’ve hurt me so much that I don’t even want to look at you. Seeing you now just disgusts me!
“Those who betray someone who truly cares about them should suffer greatly for their actions!” I said coldly.
Justin’s figure swayed.
“Stella, why…
why did you… why did you use amnesia to deceive me? You even chose Raleigh.” Justin collapsed, his eyes red.
“From the moment you pushed me, I have lost all my feelings for you. You must taste my pain too.” My eyes turned slightly red as I looked at him with nothing but hatred.
In the emergency room, I heard the sounds of various medical instruments.
I felt helpless and angry, with only the mocking voices of Justin and Jasmine echoing in my

mind.
I was on the verge of death but managed to survive.
When I opened my eyes in the hospital bed and saw Justin for the first time, I knew he hadn’t repented.
I hated him.
I knew he was proud and arrogant but had always lost to Raleigh. He despised anyone mentioning Raleigh in front of him.
At first, I didn’t expect Raleigh to cooperate with me.
However, as I approached Raleigh, he came closer to me a little at a time.
I knew this was manipulation and I was being unfair to him, so I chose to work at his company, solved his company’s problems, and tried to make him happy.
However, after the program ended, Raleigh never responded to my messages.
“Stella, do you hate me this much? Are you willing to torture me like this?” Justin kept pestering.
“Please don’t come looking for me again.” I brushed him off and drove to Raleigh’s house.
Not long after I left, Justin was taken away by the police.
My dad called the police, accusing him of attempted murder.
Justin didn’t resist at all and confessed.
As I arrived at Raleigh’s doorstep, my colleagues informed me that Raleigh had been missing the entire afternoon.
He didn’t answer any calls or messages, which was something they had never experienced before. After all, Raleigh was well–known for his workaholic nature.
I rang the doorbell several times, but no one answered. Worried that something might have happened to Raleigh, I tossed my bag inside and climbed over the fence.
The door inside the villa was unlocked.
I pushed it open carefully and called out, “Raleigh? Raleigh? I’m coming in.”
However, as I entered the living room, I froze. There, on one wall, hung a large photo. The woman in the photo was unmistakably me. It was a picture I took with him during our university days.
I stood in front of the photo, stunned, for a long time.
Actually, during college, I didn’t have much interaction with Raleigh. I only knew him as
