He ransacked the room thoroughly, but there was no trace of any man inside. Still, he didn’t believe it. Turning around, he grabbed my collar and shouted, “Where are you hiding that bastard Raleigh?”
His demeanor frightened me, and my head throbbed.
Seeing this, the police stepped forward to pull Justin away, while I crouched on the ground holding my head, my face turning pale with pain.
“It hurts so much, my head hurts,” I exclaimed before passing out.
“Last night, the lady arrived alone. Don’t you think you should maintain some decency when accusing others?” The lobby manager, seeing me collapse, quickly called for an ambulance and spoke to Justin.
Justin stood frozen in place.
Seeing me lying motionless on the ground, Justin knew he had to act fast. He wanted to accompany me to the hospital, but before he could take a few more steps, he was detained by the police.
“Stella…”
He watched me get loaded into the ambulance, his voice softening.
Nevertheless, the police didn’t allow him much time for reflection. They escorted him back to the station for a serious discussion, and it wasn’t until the afternoon that he was set free
Once out, Justin hurried to the hospital.
Slap-
My dad slapped Justin the moment he saw him, his eyes red with anger. “Look at what you’ve done to my daughter?! And you dare to show up here! Are you trying to kill her?”
“Mr. Wright, I…” Justin began, only to be cut off by me.
“Dad! I don’t want to see this lunatic. I want Raleigh. I want to see Raleigh,” I yelled from
under the covers.
Raleigh was Justin’s Achilles‘ heel, his breaking point.
“Stella! I’m your boyfriend!” he angrily reminded me.
Before, I used to refer to Justin as my boyfriend, but now I addressed his archenemy as my boyfriend. This was something Justin couldn’t tolerate.
Seeing him yelling again, my mom pulled him out, her eyes red with tears. “Justin, please stop agitating Stella. She has amnesia. She doesn’t remember you.”

“Sorry…” Justin apologized, suppressing his anger.
Buzz
Justin’s phone vibrated. Despite his initial frustration, his expression softened vyn reading the message. It was from Jasmine, inviting him to watch a movie together that evening
I glanced at him from my hospital bed, but he didn’t notice me. Once he said goodbye to my mom, he hurried out of the hospital just as he had arrived, without a second glance back
I let out a sigh and lay back on the bed, feeling relieved.
As I drifted into a drowsy sleep, I felt a cool sensation on my cheek. Opening my eyes, I was alert, expecting to see Justin, but instead, it was Raleigh.
My eyes lit up, and I lunged toward him, calling out, “Raleigh, you still care about me! I thought you didn’t want me as your girlfriend when you left me alone last night”
Raleigh’s gaze softened as he reached out to steady my faltering body.
My parents walked in, surprised to see Raleigh
“Mr. Landon, what brings you here?” my dad asked respectfully.
Raleigh, a well–known figure in River City, coming from a wealthy background and holding a top position in the Landon Group, managed to firmly establish control over the Reed Corporation in just three years.
As a result, even Justin’s father had to arrange an appointment just to see him.
Raleigh lowered his gaze slightly before calmly addressing my parents, “A friend of mine is hospitalized, and I happened to see Stella here, so I came to check on her.”
My dad nodded approvingly, unable to detect any flaws in Raleigh’s explanation.
My mom noticed the food containers and roses on the table. She approached to examine them and asked in surprise, “Raleigh, what’s all this?”
A hint of panic flickered in Raleigh’s usually composed eyes as he replied softly, “Just something I picked up. After all, Stella and I were classmates in university.”
I immediately objected, “Classmates? No, you’re my boyfriend!”
