After rebirth, tear apart the fake daughter
In my past life, my biological parents finally
found me. Just when I thought I could bask in
the warmth of family, Ashley, the girl who had
taken my place, dealt me a fatal blow.
At my 20th birthday party, she set me up with
a random guy, turning me into a
laughingstock.
She accused me of cheating in school,
claiming I’d gotten my grades through unfair
means.
She even hired men to assault me, then
twisted the story, spreading rumors that I was
promiscuous.
My parents were utterly disappointed and
kicked me out of the Miller family. I became a
disgrace at school and was expelled.
The study abroad program that was rightfully
mine went to Ashley. I became a pariah, while
she became a celebrated pianist.
“It’s your fault for coming back to the Millers
and trying to steal everything from me,” she’d
sneered. “This family belongs to me. You
should go back to where you came from.”

That’s when it hit me she’d been plotting
against me since the day I returned.
As I lunged at her to confront her, a car
slammed into me from behind, sending me
flying over a railing.
When I opened my eyes again, it was the day
of my 20th birthday party.
“Oh my god, sis, you’re still doing your
makeup? The party’s about to start.”
The terror of being hit by that car was still
fresh in my mind. I shivered involuntarily. How
did I survive that?
Ashley nudged me again when I didn’t
respond.

Ashley’s voice snapped me back to reality. I
looked around the familiar room, my mind
reeling.
Hadn’t Ashley framed me and gotten me
kicked out of the Millers? How was I back in
my old room?
I stared at Ashley, my eyes filled with so much
hatred that she recoiled.
But a second later, she grabbed my arm and
dragged me out.
When Ashley brought me to the party, I made
a shocking realization. It wasn’t a dream. I
had been reborn, back to the day of my 20th
birthday.
“Well, well, well, this is the Miller’s long–lost
daughter. Just as beautiful as Mrs. Miller, I
see.”
Ashley was pretty, but next to me, she looked
a little…plain.
Hearing the compliments directed at me.
Ashley’s hatred became palpable. I didn’t miss
the glint of calculation in her eyes.
This was the day she’d “accidentally” spilled
champagne on my dress, forcing me to go
change. Then, a strange man had appeared in
my room.
I watched Ashley approach with a glass of
champagne. If I wasn’t mistaken, she was
about to pull the same stunt.
Sure enough, she “tripped” and “spilled” the
champagne on my dress.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, Olivia! I didn’t mean
- to. Please don’t be mad. Let me get this
cleaned up. I really messed up.”
With those words, everyone instantly viewed
me, the real Miller daughter, as the bully. The
goodwill they’d shown me vanished.
I plastered a smile on my face and took
Ashley’s hand.
“It’s okay, Ash. You always say I need to learn
the ropes since I’m new here, and I should
listen to you. I’ve always been a good
listener.”
That’s exactly what she’d used against me in
my past life. Every word from her was a trap.
Back then, I hadn’t understood her motives
until I saw the judging looks from everyone
around me.
Ashley’s nails dug into her palm. She hadn’t
expected me to be so quick–witted. There
was no way I was letting her get away with it
this time.
“We’re sisters, Olivia. No need to be so
formal. Go upstairs and change.”
As soon as I stepped into my room, I smelled
a familiar, unpleasant scent.
In my past life, I’d been too flustered when
they caught me to react. I’d been so afraid of
bringing shame to the Miller family, being the
newly returned daughter.
“Come out. How much did Ashley pay you?”
The man hiding in the shadows hadn’t
expected me to know he was there.
“Doesn’t matter if you found me. Sooner or
later, it’s all the same.”
As he stepped towards me, I flashed the fruit
knife in my hand.
Just like in my past life, I soon heard
footsteps and Ashley’s voice, practically
broadcasting the presence of a man in my
room.
