A few nurses whispered nearby, talling about a young mistress who had been hurt. Apparently, she had even rented an entire floor for her and was being taken case of by a young master who seemed to be quite infatuated
Tra lay quietly on the bed, listening
she took out her phone and began deleting all the posts about her relationship, one by one, then erased all contact information for Alvin
When it was time for her discharge, she went to the hospital lobby to complete the formalities. By chance, she ran into Alvin, who was carrying Maria back to her room
Ira glanced at them indifferently before turning her head and walling toward the stairwell.
Alvin caught a glimpse of her out of the comer of his eye
nut by the time he turned around, she was already gone.
He instinctively thought it might have been a hallucination.
After all, Jea had always been afraid of pain. Back in school, when a ball hit her lee, he had to comfort her for a long time.
If she had really been in a car accident, how could she have endured the pain without telling him?
Back home, Irecalled for a housekeeper and had all the thin she had cleared out thrown away.
Then she entered the study and began tearing up the diary she had kept for eight years, one page
ne at a time.
The fluttering feelings she had when she first tell for Alvin at fifteen, the courage it took to go to California for him at seventeen, the joy she felt at eighteen when her wish came true.
All the things that had bound her heart for eight years were, in that moment, completely gone.
She placed the breakup letter in a place where Alvin would see it as soon as he returned, packed the last of her belongings, and left the house.
She went downstairs and balled a taxi.
Seeing her injuries, the driver quickly helped her put her suitcase in the trunk
As she tumed around, she gave the city she had lived in for six years one last look–and bumped into a familiar pairol eyes.
Alvin had just gotten out of his ear and, seeing her, his expressionsoftened.
“Heading out?”
Tra looked at him quietly, no longer seeing the love that had once been there. “Is there something you want?”
Alvin didn’t understand, thinking that she still wasn’t willing to compromise. He sighed, a hint of helplessness in his eyes. “I just came to grab something. I also wanted to talk to you.”
