Upon seeing who had pulled his hand away, Sébastien scowled and glared coldly at Alex. How dare he!
Before he could say anything, Alex gently took Serenity’s hand in his and led her out of the company, not sparing a glance at Sebastien’s angry glare.
Just who the hell does Sébastien think he is? He wants to touch her whenever he pleases? The nerve of him…..
Sébastien clenched his fist at his side and continued to glare coldly at Alex’s hand, holding Serenity’s, as they left without a second thought.
He felt even more miserable when he realized how comfortable Serenity was holding hands in Alex. Are they really married?
But he didn’t see any ring in Serenity’s hand. However, Alex has a ring, which is no doubt his wedding ring. So… they are really married!
Sébastien felt a severe pain in his chest, wanting to suffocate him to death. He fought so hard not to reach his hands out and rub his aching heart
In a fit of rage, he nearly kicked the nearby trash can before he hastily departed to his office. He needed a quiet and siren place to calm his aching heart.
Harris simply gazed at his son, departed back with disappointment, wrotten all over his face, knowing that this day was inevitable.
He blamed himself and felt remorse for not being able to prevent his son’s impulsive decisions to divorce Serenity.
If I only he helped his son out by correcting or persuading him further, none of this pain would have happened.
As he turned to his fuming wife and daughter, the older man was at a loss for words. Sometimes, he questioned why God chose to bless him with such a wife and daughter. Was he being punished for his past life
When Sébastien reached his office, he immediately summoned his PA, Mark to his office. He loosened his tire in frustration. He felt suffocated just by remembering another’s holding Serenity in his embrace.
Mark knocked on the door twice, and when he still didn’t get any reply, he entered his boss’s office.
He was in a panic when he saw the cold and grim expression on his boss’s face. Not only that, his boss was staring into space with a deep frown, which can send down cholls to everyone’s back
Mark knew something was wrong, but he kept quiet and waited for Sebastian to come back to his senses and give him his orders. That’s his job anyway. To listen, and to obey.
After waiting for a while and hearing nothing firm from his boss, Mark finally spoke up and called out to him. “What’s going on, boss? Is everything alright?”
Sebastian came out of his daze and responded bluntly in a commanding tone… “Call all the investigation team and order them to have thorough investigation on that person who is with Serenity, Alex Just mentioning his name felt like poison in his mouth.
*Make sure to gather all the information about him within an hour, or you’ll be packing your things and leaving this company immediately” Sébastien ordered coldly. He didn’t even realize that he was venting his anger in the wrong person.
Mark hastily nodded in understanding and replied curtly, “Yes, boss, will do that right away!” to his boss’s domineering attitude and hurriedly left Sebastian’s office without wasting any time. Damn! He let out a sigh of relief when he was out
He couldn’t bear to stay in there for even a minute longer, knowing he would have to face his boss’s cold and intimidating demicanor.

He immediately shuddered as if Sébastien was piercing through the door and gaze at him. Without a second thought, he turned on his heels and hurriedly left there.

Chapter 21
Inside his office, Sébastien just sat there staring blankly at the desk in front of him. He couldn’t bring himself to do anything. Anything relating to work was forgotten as his thoughts wandered around.
His mind was consumed with thoughts of her, Serenity. Her beautiful face, her enchanting eyes, sparkle like an innocent child whenever she smiles.
However, everything about her had changed drastically, and he couldn’t help but wonder why even though he knew the cause might be related to him.
He opened his wallet and gazed the small picture in it. His hand gently caressed the picture, which seemed to fade away due to rubbing for a very long time.
He couldn’t shake the image of her serene, stunning face from his mind. Those inviting eyes, her every feature captivating him more and more with each passing day.
He couldn’t deny the drastic change she had brought to his life. And now, he wanted her more than ever. He couldn’t help but regret every single decision he had made in the past. Why? Just why must he be so stupid to have divorced her?
His decision of wanting her back wasn’t only because Ariana turned out to be his worst nightmare. But because he finally realized his true feelings for Serenity after divorcing her
But by then, it was too late. Could he really win her back? Could he make her divorce Alex and get back together with him? Did he even have a chance.
In the midst of his thoughts, Sebastian was interrupted by the opening of his office door.
His mother, sister, father, and grandmother entered. They were always quick to remind him of the pain he had caused to that poor soul, Serenity.
His family gazed at in puzzlement, but he didn’t care.
They expected him to spill everything, which was bothcing him as if they didn’t already know
But Sébastien wasn’t in the mood to talk to any of them. Why should he bother when all he had done was to bring pain to Serenity alongside his family.
