“S–Seb… Sasha stuttered as she looked at her son, who looked nothing like the son she gave birth to.
Gwen also panicked and hugged her mother’s hand tightly as she stared fearful at her brother.
“Dad!” Shw cried to her father, who was also stunned as he looked at his son in disbelief. What the hell just happened to him?
Sébastien’s fierce gaze made his mother and sister shiver in fear. They had the urge to run away from the room, but they decided against it.
The worst part about the whole situation is that this isn’t even the Sebastian they know. How did he become like this? What is going on? Just what had come over him?
Ariana, standing quietly, also felt a sense of fear. She had seen many sides of Sebastian, but this was different. The man standing before them now was cold, with no emotion in his eyes. It was as if he was the devil himself. How did he become like this?
‘Serenity! Ariana said inwardly with so much hatred as sje clenched her fists. Only God knows how much she hated her.
“Ari, why don’t you help out?” Gwen whispered to Ariana, bringing her from her anger state.
“Me..?” she asked, unsure if her ears weren’t playing tricks on her. How could she possibly calm the raging bull in front of her!
“Alright, alright, calm down. All of you need to sit down and talk about things like adults and make amends instead of throwing things around. You are no longer a child. Harris said as he approached Sébastien with caution.
He patted his son’s shoulder lightly, hoping to diffuse the tension in the room, which actually worked.
Sebastian took a few deep breaths to calm himself before taking his seat. However, he did not look at his parents or anyone.
He simply said his piece earlier and looked off into space, as if he was staring at someone from his past – someone he desperately wanted to see again. Serenity‘
Sébastien mind kept wondering what she and Alex might be doing at that moment. Juts the thought of Alex infuriate him to no end.
Mrs. William was the first to break the silence again as she spoke. “Now that Serenity is back, I’m not going to say anything about your personal life and what happened or ejat is going to happen between the two of you.”
Also, now that tranquility has been restored, I will refrain from delving into your personal affairs and the inner workings of your heart.
I simply want you to be aware of the current situation at the company. I am truly grateful that Serenity has agreed to aid us despite our past mistreatment of her.
It is true that we have wronged her, the poor girl. I can not deny it, as I was the one who brought her into our household. I failed to protect her, and I couldn’t even believe her when she needed me the most I am filled with remorse for that child.”
Mrs. Williams‘ words almost brought Sasha and Gwen into tears out of anger. Were they hearing correctly?
They couldn’t believe she would say something like that. What is happening to their family? Why is everyone suddenly on Serenity’s side? What about them? They, who have endured years of mistreatment at her hands, though actually knew the truth, who mistreated who.
Sebastian, upon hearing his grandmother’s words, clenched his jaws and rubbed his temples in frustration.
He could be angry with his mother, his sister, or anyone else, but not his grandmother. He loves and respects her in any sensible way.
And now, Serenity is back after his betrayal to and his mother family unfairness to her. This is too much to take in. How is
he even going to make amends his past mistakes?
“Now that things have taken a turn, I believe we should trust Serenity’s judgment and let her handle the situation as our lawyer. I imagine they are at the police station right now, gathering information and trying to understand what happened. We

must be patient and await their return,” Old Madam Williams said softly, trying to diffuse any potential outbursts.
She cared so much for her grandson that she wished she could do anything to make him smile and live a normal.
But Ariana, who had been standing there in silence, could no longer hold her tongue. She blurted before she could even stop herself.
“Do we really have to rely on her? Considering everything that has happened in the past, what if she seizes this opportunity for revenge against us?” she exclaimed, her voice rising in anger and jealousy.
“We can not trust her. What if she wants to destroy our family, take everything away from us? This can not happen. She can not remain at this company. I refuse to allow it, she ranted, pacing around the room.
Realizing her actions were becoming frenzied, she took in deep breaths and tried to calm her down.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak again, Sébastien cut her off.
“And who the hell do you think you are to have a day here?” His voice so cold that Ariana took a few steps back when her eyes met with his.
“S–Seb…”
She tried calling his name, but it got stuck in her throat.
