Serenity let go of Alex’s hajd as they reached where his car was parked.
“Get in my Indy!” Alex said with a dramatic bow, making Serenity rolled her eyes at him,
Alex really knows how to treat and flatter a lady.
When Serenity settled comfortably into Alex’s car, she couldn’t help but ask, when the latter get into the car with her.
“Alex, tell me the truth. What exactly are you doing here? Why did you come, instead of sending my secretary?” She couldn’t understand why he would leave his job just to come and assist her.
That’s so much his style, but he shouldn’t have. It made her feel both grateful and guilty.
And, more importantly, he had left his wife to come here. Damn! That woman is going to get pissed at her husband disappearance.
As Serenity’s best friend, she knew Gloria’s character all too well. She knew that Gloria was not going to take what Alex had done lightly. [Leaving without informing her]
His wife would definitely deal with him when she catches him.
With a hot tempered wife like Gloria, Well, no one needs to her. She knew Alex would have to run for his money,
Serenity couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement.
“Well,” Akex chose to answered her question at the moment. He said, “I came to help a friend. If I didn’t come here, your ex- husband, the jerk, would have taken advantage of you. Am I lying!
So, in a way, I am being helpful here. You don’t have to judge me. In fact, you should appreciate and thank me, Akex said self- righteously, as if what he was saying was the right thing to say..
Serenity shot back at him. “Well then, what about Cloria? Does she know that you are here? Do you even think she will be happy about it? You left your wife to come here just to have fun. Alex, you have to stop this attitude of yours. You’ve chased away many men from me. And mind you, I didn’t come here for him. I came here for work. And as soon as I’m done working, I’m leaving this country. You don’t have to stay here with me. Serenity said with a sigh.
Alex just shook his head at her. He didn’t want to argue. He just said, “What do you mean? You don’t need me here?” He didn’t wait for her to answer before he continued, “You saw how your ex–husband was looking at you. He was practically devouring you with his eyes. I mean, how can he just forget everything he has done to you and think he can simply say sorry and everything will be okay?
And hey, let’s not forget about his family. Especially his annoying mother. That woman thinks the whole world revolves around her. She’s getting old. I mean, how old is she? Because when you look at her face, she looks more like his grandmother than his mother.” Alex said sarcastically, motion with his right hand in a funny motion
Serenity couldn’t help but laugh. “Alex, st- stop talking!” She said un between her laughter.
“Why? Im just telling you the damn truth about that old hag. I really pity her husband. How could he live with such a mad woman?
Sasha or whatever her name is, is an annoying person, a mother figure who holds herself in very high regard. She believes everything revolves around her and everyone has to be under feet.
But she doesn’t realize how her hot tempered and self–centered personality is turning her to be old.
She’s also getting up there in age, although I could never guess how old. Whenever I look at her, I can’t help but see a grandmother instead of a mother.” Alex continued his sarcastic remarks, making Serenity laughed even more.
She just can’t seem to figure out Alex’s character after all these years of friendship.
Despite knowing each other for six years, he still amazes her with his antics and jokes.
The only person who seems to understand him well enough is his wife, Gloria

And Gloria is definitely going to scold if not beat him this time around for making such a big decision by coming to the country without telling her.
“You know what, I won’t argue with you, Alex. I just pray that you will have such strength and confidence when Gloria comes find you here.” Serenitysaid as she tried to suppress her laughter.
