Ever since my brother left my penthouse, I have been having this uneasy feeling inside me.
It is as if I am being followed. For instance when i was on the red carpet with Marcus for our launching of new lingerie designs, one of the photographers looked so familiar. 1
I could have sworn I met him somewhere but maybe it was ist me being paranoid.
Also there is always someone, an unknown figure lurking on our security camera.
Marcus says I am just being paranoid but I am only being careful.
My life has just started to get better, to get a better meaning and I don’t want anything or anyone to hinder that.
I can’t afford losing myself again.
Today is one of the days I take a walk around the block.
It also signifies the 10th anniversary of losing my baby boy.
People can call me awful or a bad mother but I am glad he left the world.
I wouldn’t have hated him, I would loved him so much, even tho he wasn’t conceived in the right way, he was still my son,a part of me and I would have cherished him so much.
He died in my arms at the hospital, immediately I had him.
He was premature, with a lot of disorders like weak lungs and jaundice, he also had an acute respiratory tract disorder.
He wasn’t meant to be. I buried him in calm river side.
Marcus knows about this,and during this period, he allows the take sometime of work
Today he attending to all our meetings and will be back home at 3pm. I’ll do some grocery shopping and then be on my way.

“Marcus I am home!“I sing when I opened the door to our penthouse.
I closed it gently behind me when I didn’t him. He should have been here by now,
I removed my coat and hanged it on the rack.

“Marcus“I call out again and made my way to the leaving room.
I screamed when I got the living room to find him lying on the floor when slit throat and blood around him.
“Oh my God“I rush to side and tried to put pressure on his neck.
I removed my scarf and tied it around his neck to prevent the bleeding but it was soaked immediately.
I checked his pulse and I felt it, but it was faint.

“Oh God, who did this to you? “I cried.
1 called an ambulance and they arrived immediately and he was taken to the hospital.
He was immediately sent to surgery, and it took 9 hours before I had a feedback from him.
The headlines were already on our tail,I had to get extra security for our protection.
Now, I am sitting in a chair next to Marcus‘ bed, staring at his face.
His girlfriend will be here any minute from now then I can go home and change.
The police are already doing investigation but I have a feeling only one person could do this.
My phone pings startling me.
I checked and it was message from an unknown number.
End it or else he wouldn’t be lucky this time round.
Only one person can threaten Marcus‘ life.

Two days after the incident, Marcus was finally up and already threatening to kill Zander.
“Don’t worry Marc, I am just glad you are alright” I tell him brushing his hair lightly.
“I am worried, what if they hurt you next! We need to do something about it” he says

I leave Marcus in the room to grab some lunch and then made way back immediately.

“Who are you?“I say my eyes glowing yellow trying to scare them.
“My name is Beta Zack, this is warrior Fred and Aminil from the Blood moon pack “the tallest one says.

“The alpha wants you back immediately. Or he loses his life“Zack says pressing the knife against Marcus” stitched neck.

“No can’t do. Either you leave with us or we kill him and drag you away. Your choice“he says and I glare at him.

Immediately they let down their guard, I used my reflexes and broke Aminil neck, killing him on the spot.
“This is a message for your Alpha. Tell him not to ever hurt someone I love again” I tell beta Zack.
“Now leave and take the body along with you. We will be leaving tomorrow morning “I tell him.
He glare at me but leaves nonetheless.

“Are you sure about this?“I asked Marcus for the 11th time since we got on the plane.
“Yes. I am not leaving you alone to face that narcissistic Alpha of yours” he says and growls and snears comes from
the back.
I roll my eyes at them and relaxed in my chair.
After hours of sitting in a plane and Marcus making sure to annoy Zack and Fred, we finally arrived in the USA.
Our pack is located in Connecticut among others.
Two cars were ready to pick us up upon arrival.
The car drive us through the city into the forest path and then I feel the connection again..
