Immediately we passed through the pack boarders, every connection I broke when I left 10 years ago begin to
reconnect.
“Wow, this isn’t what I was expecting. This place is absolutely civil and looks like a mini town“Marcus says looking at the buildings in awe..
“What were you expecting?“I looked at him confusion.
“Well, trees and tree houses. Bushes. I don’t know maybe caves “he shrugs.
“Marcus,you do know that we are also humans with supernatural powers. We have civilization, we live like humans we just can transform into wolves “I tell him and he nodded still paying attention to the city.
I don’t know how mama or papa will react, I just hope they are not mad at me.
In my letter, I didn’t give them details of what happened between Zander, Crystal and I.
So they don’t fully know why I left in the first place. I just pray they forgive me.

The car finally stops and I look out to see we arrived at the pack house.
My body tenses as memories of what happened here begin to flood my mind.
“L…I can’t go inside“I say in a tense voice.
“The Alpha wants to meet you here“Zack says
“I said I won’t go inside. I am the guest here and my demands are supposed to be followed. Please take me to my parent’s house because I won’t step a foot in there” I say and he sighs.
He gives me a curt nod and then begins to dive in the direction of my childhood home.
Fifteen minutes later we arrive at my home and nothing has changed. Everything looks the same except the atmosphere. It look dark and gloomy, it might rain any minute from now.
The car stops at the door step and I got out, so does Marcus and everyone else.
I walked to the door and stood there without ringing the door bell
“Huhh..you do know it is windy and about to rain” Marc says from behind me.
“I know…but…I don’t think this is a great idea. What if they don’t want me here after everything “I whisper softly.
He comes behind me and wraps his arms around my middle
“They will understand once you tell them the truth“he says and I nodded.

– pha Zander will be here any minute“Zack says and my heart skips a beat.
I thought I was going to be okay but I am not. I am not strong enough, I wasn’t prepared enough.
I let out a breath and then ring the doorbell.
Seconds later,the door opens to reveal a beautiful black haired woman I haven’t seen before. She has the brightest blue–green eyes
My eyes travelled from her face to her stomach,she was pregnant.
She gasped immediately she saw my face.
“Crystalise?“she mutters in awe, as if I wasn’t real.
“Yeah, that is me. Who are you if you don’t mind me asking?“I ask
“Oh,I am Kenna Basin from Lighten pack. I am Kaden’s mate and wife“she says and my eyes widen.
“Wow! Which explains why I haven’t seen you here before. Are my parents home?“I asked.
“Yes, your mom is helping me feed Gem, your four years old nephew” she says with a blush.
Kaden is now a father of two. Wow, I shouldn’t be surprised but for some reason I am. I thought he wouldn’t find his mate since he was off age the time I left.
“Please come inside” she says and steps aside allowing us to enter.
Wow, nothing has still change,our childhood pictures are still hanging on the walls of the hall.
“Kenna, dear, who was tha……“mom stops in mid sentence immediately she saw me.
There was a clash of noises on the floor and the sound of glass breaking.
She just dropped her bowl.
“Crystalise“she whispers as if making sure I was the one she was seeing.
“Mama“I mutter my voice cracking
She burst into tears and come to engulf me into a tight hug.
“Why did you leave?“she cries on my shoulder.
“I am sorry mama “I whisper allowing my own tears to freely fall.
“You caused so much chaos with your leaving,so much pain in this family Crystalise. Why did you do this to us, to me. Aren’t I your mother? Why didn’t you confide in me“she continues to cry and my heart drops.
They blame me without knowing the truth.
“I am sorry mama. I am sorry I hurt you and papa and Kaden “I tell her.
“It is fine. You are here and that is that matters. Everything will be fine” she says and let’s go of me.
She wipes my tears with the back of her palm and kisses my forehead.
“Come baby,you must be hungry. I see you have already met Kenna. Your brother’s wife” she says and I nodded.
She smiles at me and then her eyes moves to Marcus who was behind me.

He giggles and stuff his face into my neck and sighs.
I picked him up and settled him on my waist.
“Where is dad and Kaden ?“I asked
“They went hunting with the Alpha. They’ll be here any minute“mom says but I could sense a little bit of worry in her voice.
