Then, the police intervened and investigated the Sadlers. The once powerful family started crumbling right after the Talbot family had.
After floating around Leo for several days, I came to understand that he and my birth parents were the ones who took the Talbot family and the Sadler family down.
Ever since they learned about what happened to me when I was still married, they secretly did a lot of things.
What went around came around. The selfish Talbots and reckless Sadlers had all received what they deserved.
Actually, I didn’t hate them for even a single second. I only regretted that I wasn’t braver or hadn’t prioritized myself more to protect my relationship with Leo. I regretted that I couldn’t hold out long enough to meet my true family.
In less than a month, my parents seemed to have aged. On this day, my parents and Leo huddled around my grave. They were going to move my remains back to where I belonged.
I watched as Leo personally dug open my grave and carefully brought out my urn.
As I started fading, I knew it was time for me to leave.
It was great to know there were people in this world who loved me. Gazing at them, I cast them a smile before fading into nothingness.
