I, Heidi Talbot, was finally free! But my days were nearing its end.
I went to a hotel and booked a room. After turning off my phone, I slept. For the first time in two years, I could finally sleep to my heart’s content. I didn’t have to wake up early to wait on Ethan.
I could finally do whatever I liked, but I didn’t have much time left.
When I turned on my phone, there were no missed calls, nor were there any messages. Nobody cared about me. But it was fine. I had myself.
I opened my WhatsApp and found the familiar profile picture. Eventually, I restrained myself. Since we broke up, I shouldn’t bother him anymore.

passport, which had never been used even once. Then, I booked the earliest flight to Swilea,
Swilea was a country I’d been longing to visit. My ex–boyfriend, Leo Chandler, and I had originally planned to go for our honeymoon in Swilea after our wedding.
We would visit Mount Gimel and go skiing together. We would also check out the igloos and admire Liara Falls. However, we hadn’t seen each other ever since I married Ethan.
Although I didn’t have anyone to accompany me to those places, I could still visit them on my
own.
I checked out of my room and bought a DSLR camera. Then, I went to the hospital.
After getting the doctor to prescribe me a medication that could keep my condition under control, I headed for the airport happily.
When I reached the airport terminal, I saw a person I didn’t expect to see. It was Leo! He was wearing a facial mask, but I would never mistake him for anyone else.
After two years of being apart, the innocence in his eyes had been replaced by a sense of sensibility.
I didn’t expect to meet him here. Instinctively, I hid myself.
Leo was tall and sturdy. He truly stood out among the crowd. On the other hand, I was physically and mentally exhausted and seemed older than my biological age.
Because of my illness, my face was pale and sunken. I was no longer as pretty and youthful as I used to be.
I laughed self–deprecatingly. I didn’t know why I had to hide. He might not even recognize me even if I stood before him.
I watched him walk past me out of the corners of my eyes before emerging from behind the pillar, Before I could walk on ahead, a voice came from behind me, and I halted.
“Leo, you’re back! I’ve come to pick you up. Are you happy?”
It was Rosalie’s voice!
Why would she be in touch with Leo? Why would she come to pick him up?
