Chapter 21
Chapter 21
G
Melissa was about to enter the principal’s office when Elmer stopped her. “The principal said that only Ava needs to go in
Melissa was stunned by this rule.
She
e wanted to lose her temper, but everyone knew about Elmer personality. He stuck to the rules unwaveringly
Elmer had been a politician before but was unsuccessful due to his personality. After that, Wallace recruited him to the school.
The parents all had to give in to him.
“Come in. Ava.”
“Thank you,” Ava thanked him politely, walking into the office.
She had lived two lives, but this was her first time seeing Wallace
He was a thin old man with white hair. He waved to Ava with a smile. “Little girl, come closer.”
Ava walked up to Wallace and stood still.
Wallace was not very tall. He was around five foot five and was very thin, so he seemed
He was only in his sixties, though, and his smile was very benevolent.
He studied Ava from head to toe. “Are you Ava Reynolds?” he asked.
“Hello, Mr. Dixon. I am Ava Reynolds.”
Ava stood tall and straight in front of Wallace. She gave off a graceful aura.
She was also extremely pretty.
pretty old.
Wallace’s eyes sparkled, and he said as if he was gossiping, “So, are you close with that Anderson rascall
“That Anderson rascal?” Ava echoed in her thoughts.
It took a while for her to realize who Wallace was talking about
She pursed her lips to stop herself from smiling.
Gabriel Anderson was an outstanding boy, but he got called a rascal.
“Kind of,” Ava said without revealing her thoughts. “I have just seen him a few times.”
Ava had only seen him a few times, yet Gabriel cared so much for her. Wallace’s smile widened.
“Alright, your mom does not need to do the paperwork anymore. It has already been done. You can go directly to your classroom. Do you know the way? If not, you can ask Elmer to lead you there.”
“Got it”

Chapter 21
Ava looked up at the old man again.
She had a strange feeling.
It was honestly strange. Wallace had called her over, giving her the feeling of a grandparent who wanted to see their grandchild.
What she did not know was that Wallace called someone immediately after she left the room.
“I saw her. She’s not bad, so you do not need to worry. Our għa
son will be happy”
On the other hand, Melissa was quite relieved that Ava came our so quickly.
“You did not cause trouble, right?”
Ava looked at her with slight disdain. “You seem to want me to use trouble?”
This shut Melissa up
“I will lead you to the classroom now,” Elmer said.
“I have not done the paperwork yet, Melissa spoke up.
“No need. It has already been done”
Melissa was taken aback.
How could it have already been done? She had not done anything yet!
Ava followed Elmer out of the office, leaving Melissa confused.
She clenched her hands into fists. She still felt worried, but she had to leave in the end.
It was extremely lively in the classroom.
These kids were all from wealthy and influential families. They had renowned teachers and tutors, and their grades were all pretty good, so they had nothing to worry about.
If they weren’t interested in any of the colleges here, they could study abroad too.
As soon as Sophia entered the classroom, Cici Bayer hurried over
“Sophia, I heard that your stepmom brought over a stepsister?”
Michelle Link scoffed. “Honestly, doesn’t your stepmom always milk about how much she loves you? We’re getting ready to apply for college, and there are so many exams that we need to take! Plus, I heard that your stepsister came from a small town. What if she gets jealous of you, hates you, and tries to take your spot?”
Another girl burst into laughter on the side. “Michelle, you watch too many movies Stop being so dramatic.”
The person who spoke was Wendy Major.
Michelle’s expression stiffened. She wanted to argue with Wendy, but she did not dare.
Chapter 91
Wendy’s aunt had married Gabriel Anderson’s uncle.
The Major family was also very close to the Smith family.
Wendy was indeed a pampered heiress.
They were all from wealthy families, but there was still a big difference between their ranks
Sophia had always wanted to have a good relationship with Wendy, but Wendy never showed interest in joining their clique.
The guys in the classroom did not care about this. Instead, they focused on the newcomer’s appearance.
“Sophia, is your sister pretty?”
Sophia hesitated and did not answer. Meanwhile, Michelle snorted. “Pretty? She’s from a small town, and I heard that she likes to pick fights too. How can a girl like that be pretty?”
For some reason, everyone started imagining a greet thug
Sophia cleared her throat and tugged on Michelle, stopping her from saying more.
“No. Michelle. Ava is beautiful.”
“You do not have to speak up for her,” Michelle interrupted.
If the transfer student is pretty and you end up wrong, what will you do?” Wendy asked. “Shall we bet?”
Wendy never took part in their dama. Michelle never expected Wendy to keep speaking up for Ava today.
Michelle narrowed her eyes. “And what if you lose instead?”
Wendy’s lips curled. “If the transfer student is now and I love, I will clean the bathroom for one month. If you lose.
then you will do the same.”
Michelle hesitated, but Wendy smiled even wider. “What? Are you scared?”
“No way! I’m not scared!”
“Alright then. The bet is on!”
Footsteps sounded outside the classroom.
Everyone looked out the window. However, the person who walked in was Jay Palmer. He had been valedictorian every year in high school.
A few moments later, there were more footsteps. Everyone looked out the window again and heard Elmer say, “Ava, this is your homeroom. You can go in by yourself.”
“Thank you, Mr. Hayes.”
The class heard Ava’s voice before they saw what she looked like
Her voice was bright and sweet. She also had a lilting accent that made her sound softer.

Chapter 21
The guys were filled with even more anticipation.
Her voice sounded beautiful, so they really hoped that she was a beautiful girl tool.
After all, many beautiful girls had ugly voices.
Those who had pretty voices did not always have pretty faces either.
Ava looked up at the classroom door. This was the top class of their grade.
li In her past life, she had gotten the lowest grade in the class on first exam and had almost been forced to join the lowest
class.
It had been Sophia who had spoken up for her.
Then she got into the top 20 of the class for her midterm exams but the others said she had cheated. In the end, she was transferred to the poor class with the worst grades. She had been made fun of for–being a cheater for the next few months.
But this time….
Ava only paused for a few seconds before she walked into the room.
Someone seemed to have pressed the mute button. The noisy classroom instantly turned silent.
Everyone stared at Ava in shock.
She was so, so pretty!
This was what the guys all thought immediately,
Sophia could not help but bite her lower lip. She kept her hands under the desk and clenched them tightly.
Then the guy in the last row realized something and slammed his hand on the desk. “Crap, it looks like the prettiest girl in school has been changed!”
This made everyone snap out of their thoughts.
Taylor Light, the homeroom teacher, witnessed this scene and smiled in response. This must be the new student. Come and introduce yourself to everyone.”
Ava walked to the podium and scanned all of the students. “Ava Reynolds.”
