I did not know how to answer–Kerry’s questions. I never knew how jealousy could turn such a kind, beautiful lady so rancid.
I turned away and instructed an employee, “Call an ambulance for her. I don’t want anyone dying at my engagement ceremony. It’ll bring bad luck.”
When the ambulance arrived, Kerry was barely alive. When she was lifted onto the stretcher, Bruce suddenly went mad with rage. He pounced on Kerry and kicked her once more.
“What right do you get to have Nancy’s pity when you’re the cruelest one! You were the culprit behind all this. You’re the one who should die! How dare you try to kill Nancy?!”
Bruce’s unexpected burst was unexpected. He was so blind with rage and hatred that he did not watch his strength. When everyone came to their senses, Kerry had stopped breathing.
When the ambulance staff announced her death, Bruce bawled out laughing at the skies hysterically. Then, he looked at me happily. “Look, Nancy! I’ve killed her! She won’t be able to hurt you ever again.”
When the police arrived, everyone stood far away from Bruce, not daring to stand too close to him due to his madness.
The incident finally came to an end when Bruce was escorted away.
I looked at Aaron, my fear evident in my eyes.

eyes were reddened. He was a little shaky, but he pulled me into his arms.
