16 Chapter 16 She Blushed
The cinema had been booked for a private shoot just to snap a few photos.
Julia Land sighed, “Rich people are the worst.”
With that, their movie date was considered complete, and Noah Quarter then took her to a
restaurant.
The restaurant had private rooms but wasn’t fully booked out.
Julia skillfully posed for photos, and once finished, she grabbed her little purse and left swiftly.
Noah Quarter watched Julia’s eager departure with a mild furrow of his brow.
He put away his phone, planning to send the date photos to Grandma Quarter later, stood up, and followed her out of the private room.
The food they had ordered was already on the table.
Neither of them had any desire to eat.
As Julia walked out of the private room, she unexpectedly ran into James Thompson in the restaurant.
He was dressed in a black suit today, looking very formal and utterly aristocratic.
Standing next to him was a woman in a ladylike dress, her skin looking incredibly soft and fresh.
The woman had a serene demeanor.
James also saw Julla, and their gazes met in midair.
Seeing Noah Quarter following behind her, he casually averted his gaze.
Julia pursed her lips into a smirk and turned to head to the restroom first.
Exiting the restroom, she coincidentally ran into James coming out of the men’s room.
She politely greeted him, “Mr. Thompson.”
After calling him, she walked past.
“Julia Land, James Thompson lifted his eyelids indolently and said, “Your black lace underwear is showing”
His voice wasn’t loud.
There were hardly any people around.
His words struck her like a clap of thunder.
It was as if a bolt of lightning cleaved through her mind.
Julia instinctively looked down at her lower body.
She…
She was wearing tight jeans today, the kind with a zipper in the front.

Now, nudged by a bit of belly fat, the zipper hadn’t been pulled up completely and had slowly. started to descend, exposing a small gap.
A glimpse of her lace underwear was peeking through.
Julia, with checks burning and steam practically coming out of her head, rushed back to the ladies‘ room to pull up her zipper.
She knew she had been indulging in too much nutrition lately, gaining a bit of belly fat.
She hadn’t expected something like this to happen.
How embarrassing-
James Thompson left with a slight curve to his lips.
It was now evening, and the street lights were already on.
Julia walked to the entrance of the restaurant.
She saw James Thompson leaning against a flamboyant red sports car door.
His eyelids hung low, with a cigarette pack and an unlit cigarette in his hand.
Julia didn’t see the girl he had been dining with.
After a moment of thought, she walked over, “Mr. Thompson, when are you free? May I treat you.
to a meal?”
He had helped her so much, it felt rude not to treat him to dinner.
“Sure.”
He looked up and responded.
Julia took an antique lighter out of her little purse, flipped the switch, and lit it.
Her delicate fingernails pressing the lighter oozed a kind of sexy elegance.
James Thompson raised an eyebrow, placed the cigarette between his lips, and slightly leaned
forward.
The shadows of a tall man and a petite woman overlaid and elongated on the ground.
The lighter ignited the tip of the cigarette.
His slender fingers held the cigarette, and he exhaled smoke lazily, “Do you smoke?”
Otherwise, why would she carry a lighter?
“I don’t smoke”
Julia pursed her lips and smiled without further explanation.
This lighter was originally purchased from an online specialty store, meant to be a discharge gift
for him.
Still, it never ended up being given.
“Where’s Noah Quarter? Didn’t he wait for you?”

“He had to leave early.”
“Get in, I’ll drive you!”
His tone was forceful and brooked no refusal.
However, he just opened the door for her to get in, he didn’t force her to sit down.
Seeing this, Julia Land got into the car.
She was wearing tight jeans, and as she bent over to sit down, her curves were quite enticing.
James Thompson seemed to think of the black lace panties he had seen outside the restroom earlier, and he slowly curled his lips into a light smile.
Julia sat down and looked up at him, puzzled, “What are you laughing about?”
James Thompson said, “I just thought of a joke.”
Julia’s face clearly expressed disbelief at his excuse.
James Thompson closed the car door, walked around the front of the car, and sat in the driver’s
seat.
He had only taken a puff or two of his cigarette before putting it out.
As Julia turned to look for her seatbelt, she found two unopened condoms.
What they were, adults would know.
Those in the know, understand.
They even kept such things in the car, “…”
Julia held the two condoms in her palm and handed them to James Thompson with a calm tone, “You shouldn’t just leave these things around. It would be inconvenient to look for them when you need them.”
James Thompson started the car, his deep eyes fixed on the items in her palm, he raised an eyebrow, “These are too small in size, they’re not mine. This car belongs to a friend.”
He had borrowed it temporarily.
Julia, “..
—
If he said they weren’t his, that was fine, but why prove it by saying they were too small?
Her mind suddenly recalled the incident a few days ago when her hand had recklessly touched something.
Her cars turned slightly red, and she calmly placed the two small items in the compartment in the middle of the car that could hold things.
When James drove, he drove steadily.
He knew her cars would turn red when she was embarrassed, yet her beautiful face could remain very calm.
Perhaps even she didn’t know how red her cars could get.

“Where to?”
“Jade Gardens.”
Neither spoke for the remainder of the trip.
When they arrived at Jade Gardens, Julia thanked him and got out of the car.
James watched her walk through the gate before turning the car around to head back.
O
He knew that Jade Gardens was where she and Noah Quarter had lived after they got married.
As he was driving back, Trevor Sullivan called him. James put on his earpiece and lazily asked, “What’s up?”
Trevor laughed, “Can’t I call you if there’s nothing important?”
James smirked lightly, “Beat it, I’m not into guys.”
“Trevor, you can’t just lead on then abandon someone, Trevor shifted the topic to a serious matter, “I have a project I want to collaborate on with you. Can I come and see you later?”
“Uh–huh, James’s eyes fell on the two condoms, “Don’t keep these tiny–sized things in the car from now on.”
Trevor was momentarily taken aback, then he realized what his friend meant, “That’s the normal size, thank you!”
What’s small about that!

Julia returned to Jade Gardens and entered the marital home she once shared with Noah Quarter, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
Grandma Quarter had been staying here, and they were unable to sleep separately.
She planned to just make a temporary sleeping arrangement on the floor.
After all, there was plenty of space in the room.
Julia started by unpacking her luggage, and the housekeeper came to notify her that dinner was ready.
She quickly showered and then went down to eat. While she was eating, Noah returned.
She hadn’t expected Noah to come back to Jade Gardens to stay tonight..
Noah entered the bedroom and saw the dressing table just as it had always been, now with the addition of a woman’s bottles and jars.
A trace of life had been added.
He grabbed some clothes and went to shower. The bathroom also had the shower gel and shampoo Julia usually used.
Noah paused for a moment, then continued to turn on the water to shower.
After his shower, he stepped out of the bathroom.

Julia, sitting on the sofa, took off her earpiece and looked at him seriously, “Let’s go sign the
e papers tomorrow.”
Noah’s deep eyes stared at her and he coldly agreed, “Okay.”
He liked Arabella.
It was better to get divorced first.
