The plane arrived in Dunmore City at exactly eight o’clock in the evening.
Julia Land had taken painkillers, which had soporific effects.
Not long after takeoff, she fell asleep.
James Thompson saw that Julia had fallen asleep, and fearing that she might accidentally bump her injured hand, he held her fingertips in his hand.
He would know the moment she moved.
She was still sleeping when the plane landed.
Carefully, James Thompson picked her up and got off the plane.
Two rows of bodyguards stood outside; Assistant Winters approached respectfully and whispered in a low voice, “BOSS, the old man has arranged for people to come to Dunmore City.”

Inside the car, Assistant Winters didn’t dare to turn his head back to look into the back seat; he raised the partition.

Actually, when Julia was carried into the car, she was a bit awake, but her mind was still groggy. and so she did not open her eyes.
“Keep sleeping, I’ll call you when we arrive.”
The man said softly in a deep voice.
Julia, smelling the crisp cedar scent on him, fell asleep again.
The car drove through the high–end gates and then into a maple–lined avenue before stopping
in front of a villa.
When Julia woke up, it was in a large bed with a small lamp turned on at the bedside.
She sat
up, looked around the unfamiliar environment, gazed out at the night view through the window, and rubbed her face, “Where is this?”

She saw the caller ID, slightly frowned, and answered the call, “Mom.”
On the other end, Grace Land said, “Your sister’s birthday is next week, remember to bring your husband along”

Grace Land was almost angry to death, “Julia Land, it’s your sister’s birthday, and if you, as her sister, don’t come, what will the Langston family think of me?”
Julia was speechless, “Same mother, different fathers, it’s just a half–sister. I never went to her birthdays before, and the Langston family has gotten used to it over the years. I think their intentions don’t quite match their pretenses.”

She didn’t quite believe he could wash a girl’s long hair.

Julia Land also wanted such a good brother, but unfortunately, she didn’t have that luck.
James Thompson’s gaze landed on her envious expression, his lips curling slightly. “You don’t need to be envious of Amelia Thompson, you’ve got a loving brother too.”
Julia Land rolled her eyes at him. “I meant a real brother.”
“Mmh, then you don’t need to be envious of Amelia Thompson either, since we have no blood relation. I’m not her real brother; she’s of the dog breed, I’m of the human breed.”

But the moment she started talking, she exuded a lively and naïve charm.
This girl probably hadn’t suffered much.

Sophia Hart blinked her eyes, a bit quirky.

Julia Land looked amusedly at the girl. “If you’re not upset, why should I be?”
Sophia Hart giggled, “You make a good point, but I’ve always been generous. It’s normal for Brother Thompson, who is so outstanding, to attract the affection of girls.”
Julia Land followed with a smile. “Right, it’s normal for him to attract girls, him being so outstanding”
Sophia Hart saw that Julia Land didn’t show any sign of unhappiness and smiled with her eyes curved into crescents.
