Chapter 19
Just as Alexia walked out of the living room, her phone started ringing it was an unknown member, and she answered with a puzzled tone, “Hello!”
“Are you Christine Jordan’s daughter?”
“Yes, I am. What’s the matter?
“Your mother fainted. She’s being rushed to the hospital You need to venue quickly.”
In an instant, her mind went blank
Once heed her senses, she hurriedly stumbled out of the house
The Bred residence was in a remote area. She waited ten minutes outside but couldn’t hail a taxi, and no halling services were available
A cat slowly approached her when she was about to lose her mind
The car stoppel and Victor stepped out with his cane. He grinned upon seeing her. “Lexx, why are you standing here? Are you waiting for Calvin?”
“Grandpa, can you have your driver take me to the hospital? My mother has tainted, and it’s hard to get a tad here. Alexia’s eyes welled up with tears as she spoke.
Hearing this, Victor helped her into the car and ordered the driver to hurry to the hospital.
They arrived at the Merry Hospital about 40 minutes later.
When Alexia exited the car, the saw Christine being carried from an ambulanc
Her face paled, and she rushed over, pipping Christine’s hand. “Mom, please wake up. Please don’t scare me.”
Christine seemed to hear her voice and slowly opened her eyes. “Lex…”
“.. have something to sell you” She coughed in between words.
Upon seeing her coughing so furious that blood began to trickle from the corner of her mouth, Alexia panicked and was utterly terrified “Mom, save your strength, and don’t say a word anymore. Whatever it is, you can tell me later. Okay?”
However, Christine shook her head. “I’m not sure if open my eyes again if I close them. Please pay attention to what I say..”
Aleda nodded as tears streamed down her face.
“Marriage is your biggest support. You must take care and nourish your marriage. A healthy marriage shouldn’t feel like a trap that binds you but rather a fortress that protects you. I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you will not have a divorce. Do you hear me?”
Alexda dropped has head and didn’t answer.
Upon seeing her silence, Christine sankhar claws into Alexa’s palm. “Do you hear me? Do you want me to die with regret?”

No one could understand her inner anguish and agony in those few seconds of silence before she spoke those two words.
Then, Christine turned to Victor and stated meekly, “Mr. Reed Senior, I’m entrusting Lext to you. You’re the person I trust the most.”
Bobby and Maya were the most significant threats in Alexa’s life, and only the Fed family could protect hot.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of her, Victor looked at her and stated firmly, “I won’t let Calvin divorce her.” “Thank you, Mu..”

words, her eyes closed, and her head slumped to the side as she lost consciousness.
The hospital staff quickened their pace and rushed her into the operating room for emergency treatment,
Alexda stood outside, her face as pale as a sheet, refusing to leave for a moment. Meanwhile, Victor sat on a bench, his expression filled with worry.
At the civil affairs office, Calvin sat on the sola, his demeanor calm and composed
Next to him, Hailey was grinning with delight. Her makeup looked immaculate, and she wore a limited edition red dress with matching red high heels. She looked be she was celebeating
“Mr. Beed, it’s time already. Why Isn’t Alexia here yet?”
He glanced at his watch and frowned. “Call her ”
She pulled up Alexia’s number and dialed.
“Sorry, the number you’re trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please try again later.” Hailet clenched her teeth in frustration but refused to give up. She kept calling, over and over.
