Summer came, and I went to the summer
camp, studying with the other gifted students.
I took notes and asked the teachers questions
after class.
Unlike before, the other students didn’t look
down on me for being a bad student.
They helped me, giving me advice and sharing
their notes, and told me what kind of books
to buy.
After class, they invited me to hang out. I
used the money my mom gave me to treat
We got closer and closer, and I became
happier every day.
On the test at the end of the camp, I ranked
20 out of 100 people.
I called my parents, and they were so happy.
They said they’d take me to the best
restaurant to celebrate when I got back.
Jake said he’d bought me a bunch of new
clothes.
My life was finally good.
