“Enough, Stephen! Stop disgracing yourself as a doctor!”
Stephen spun around in disbelief and glared at Frank, who was supposed to be his friend. ” What’s that supposed to mean? Are you seriously defending her?”
Frank met his gaze coldly. “She’s my patient. If you continue to treat her violently, I have every right to call the police.”
Stephen suddenly burst out laughing. “What’s this? Have you fallen for my wife?”
He sneered. “Why don’t I just give her to you? I’m sick of her anyway. She’s trash I’ve already had my fill of…”

My fists clenched tightly as my anger boiled over.
Gathering my strength, I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face.
“Watch your filthy mouth! You’re nothing but a pile of garbage! Being abandoned by everyone is exactly what you deserve! A scumbag like you should be torn to pieces! I must have been blind to ever fall for a beast like you.
“Don’t forget, it was you who took advantage of me when I was drunk. You’re the one who schemed to have our daughter. You only approached me because Dr. Thomas is a friend of my grandfather, didn’t you? And all these years, you’ve been using my name to cozy up to him, haven’t you?”
I sneered, my voice dripping with disdain. “If I were you, I’d be on my knees
