Chapter 29
Angelina thought Chester was crazy.
Afterward, Angelina didn’t want to talk to him at all and slept with her back to him. She was still angry at first, but as she lay there, she eventually fell asleep.
After Angelina freshened up the next day, she had a meal and ate fruits afterward. But she still felt unclean. As soon as she thought of what happened last night, she hurried to the bathroom.
In the basement studio, Chester stood in the darkness, the light above his head shining on his face. Staring at the program he had just finished, he placed the pen to his nose and sniffed it before suddenly laughing loudly.
Joshua walked out of the bathroom and was tucking his shirt into his trousers when he heard Chester’s laugh.
“What’s going on?”
Was there a problem with tucking his shirt in?
Chester laughed again without responding to Joshua’s question.
Joshua then realized that Chester hadn’t even looked at him.
“Why are you laughing? Louis is definitely going to try everything to meet Angelina now that he’s back Are you happy about that?”
“Let’s see if he has the guts to do that.”
Louis had found out where Chester was living. After he learned that Angelina had stayed by Chester’s side despite his bankruptcy, Louis was certain he hadn’t misjudged her.
Angelina wasn’t a superficial person. The reason she did what she did must have been because
Chester charmed her.
Angelina stayed at home, feeling groggy and too self–conscious to look in the mirror. She felt ugly from every angle.
When her phone rang, her mood darkened even more.
Aside from the people whose numbers she saved, she couldn’t tolerate any calls from numbers.

“Hello?”
“It’s me. I’m downstairs.”
“Who is this?”
“Louis.”
Angelina thought, “Isn’t the main pursuer of the female side character supposed to appear
up so soon?” later? Isn’t Louis a minor character? Why did he show up
Angelina couldn’t help but worry more about Isadora.
“Angie, I’m waiting for you to come down. I want to see you.”
“You don’t have to wait for me, Louis. Hello?”
The call had already ended. Angelina propped herself up with her big belly and stood up. Fine, since he wanted to meet, then they would meet. She didn’t believe that given her current state, he

Before going downstairs, Angelina sent a message to Isadora. “Isadora, you’re doing business on your own outside. You must be alert and be safe. Don’t trust people easily, and be cautious.”
Isadora was drawing while enjoying a cup of milk tea when she received the message. She was deeply touched.

Not only did Angelina care about her, but she also helped Isadora start her business by investing money in her. If she had been this good before, they wouldn’t have fought for so
many years.
When Angelina was too embarrassed to pursue Chester, Isadora might have even helped Angelina get him even if the method was morally questionable.
Isadora bit the straw and replied to the message. “Thank you, Angelina.” She even added two heart emojis.
Angelina mustered up the courage to go downstairs and saw Louis from a distance. Since it was summer, he wore a casual black T–shirt and pants. One of his hands was in his pocket.
When he saw her, there was a whirlwind of emotions in his eyes.
“Angie…”
Angelina froze. His reaction upon seeing her was different from what she had imagined. But left with no other choice, she approached him. “Louis, long time no see.”
