Angelina’s water suddenly broke, and her face turned pale with fear.
Thinking she was still throwing a tantrum, Chester felt both annoyed and amused. He leaned down to kiss her, but Angelina turned her face away. “Chester…”
Her face was flushed with embarrassment, and tears started to fall because she felt so
ashamed.
“What’s wrong? I have no feelings for Rosalind. Megan is Alexander’s woman, and Rosalind is her friend. I can’t just ignore them completely. If it really bothers you, I won’t help them with the program. And I’ll avoid her from now on, okay?”
“Chester, the water broke.”
“What water?”
Angelina reached out and smacked him. “My… water.”
Chester looked down, and it finally dawned on him. His expression instantly turned panicked.” Isn’t it supposed to be tomorrow?”
“It’s supposed to be tomorrow, but it broke now
Chester forced himself to calm down and got off her. “Did I press too hard on you?”
“I don’t know.”
Angelina sat up on the bed, and the water flowed even faster. She could feel it gushing out.
Chester grabbed his phone immediately. “Hello, is this the hospital? My wife’s water just broke. What should I do? What? Place a pillow under her hips?”
Chester followed the instructions while Angelina cooperated, letting him slide a pillow under her hips.
“Isn’t this for helping people get pregnant?” Angelina asked.
“How do you know this?”
She didn’t. It was just something the original Angelina had researched, and it stuck in her
mind.
“When will you arrive? Can you hurry?” Chester asked urgently into the phone.
After hanging up and settling Angelina, he walked barefoot to the door. “Mom, Angelina’s water just broke!”
Emily, who was cleaning the dishes, turned pale as soon as she heard that. She almost dropped the plate in her hands. “What? Her water broke?

Gerald asked, “What can I do to help?”
“Just stay seated, Dad. Don’t come in.”
“What about me, Ches? I…”
Emily glanced at the door. Seeing Angelina lying there in that position and looking so uncomfortable, she asked, “Angelina, did it really break?”
“I think so…”
“I’ll go get Florence. She probably knows what to do.”
Florence rushed over as soon as she heard about Angelina’s water breaking. She even brought scissors. “If you can’t hold it in, you might have to deliver the baby at home.”
“The ambulance will be here in 20 minutes,” Chester stated.
“It’s your first baby, right? With your first baby, there’s still time. Keep your hips elevated. Yes, yes. Like that.”
Emily and Isadora stood nearby.
“Angelina, do you want some water?”
“Angelina, are you hungry? You’ll need a lot of energy to give birth when we get to the hospital. Do you have enough strength?”
Angelina didn’t feel anything too obvious at the moment–just the sensation of the amniotic fluid flowing and the extreme embarrassment of being stared at by so many people.
She felt like a rare animal on display for everyone to watch.
“I don’t know.”
“Don’t be scared,” Chester said, holding her hand. But his hand trembled slightly.
Angelina, who had been mentally prepared to welcome the arrival of the baby, started feeling nervous because of everyone else’s reactions.
“Mom, did you feed Angelina so much today that the baby wants to come out early?”
“Angelina, do you
