Alexander’s expression immediately darkened. “What kind of person do you think I am?”
“If you’re in a rush to marry, then there’s nothing I can do.” Megan deliberately avoided his gaze. “Regardless, I have no plans to get married in the next five years.”
Alexander let go of her hand. “Meg, we were together from kindergarten all the way through to adulthood. You know exactly what kind of person I am.”
“And you know what kind of person I am. I can’t be your wife. If you’re looking for a trophy wife, I’m definitely not it.”
“In
your eyes, anyone comes before me—your parents, your sister, even Rosalind. Ever since she came back to Brookhaven, you two have been inseparable. What am I to you exactly?”
“Are you crazy? You’re jealous over this?”
“You promised to watch a movie with me. Yet you went with her instead when I had already bought our tickets.”
Megan took a deep breath. “Are you seriously quibbling about something like this? And you call yourself a man?”
“I–I… You actually…”
“Is your work not busy enough? How do you have so much time to overthink things? If you’re really in need of a woman, go find one. I’m not that selfish.”
Megan then turned and walked away, leaving him alone.
Alexander was dumbfounded by her words, and he became pissed.
“Megan, what’s wrong?” Rosalind asked after Megan approached.
“It’s nothing.”
Even from afar, Rosalind had a rough idea of the situation. “Alexander doesn’t look too good.”
“He’s crazy, so of course, he looks bad. Come on–let’s go back to the studio and get to work. Isadora will definitely be busy these next two days.”
“Can we really?”
“Yes.”
As soon as Megan finished responding, Alexander hoisted her up completely.
Losing her footing, Megan let out a startled cry. She struggled, only to receive two slaps on her backside from Alexander. The loud slaps echoed, humiliating Megan.

Even though it was her backside that was hit, Megan’s checks burned red.
Rosalind stood frozen, at a loss.
Ryan sighed. “Rosalind, come on. I’ll take you back.”
“Oh! O–Okay…”
Rosalind was flustered and disoriented. After Alexander shut the car door and sat in the driver’s seat, Megan smacked him.
“That was so embarrassing… You spanked me in front of so many people!”
In the next moment, her lips were sealed by his, the force evidently showing that this was a deliberate punishment. Megan was instantly breathless, her hands weakly fumbling for a place
to rest.

She turned her face away, taking deep breaths. “Be gentler… Alexander…”
After receiving a flurry of kisses, Megan leaned against the passenger seat, her clothes disheveled and her face flushed.
Nevertheless, she knew Alexander knew when to stop and wouldn’t go any further than this
“You’re not allowed to spank me anymore. If you do, I’ll slap you in the face.”
“I’ll let you slap my face as long as I can spank your butt.”
Megan was at a loss. “Are you actually crazy?”
He lit a cigarette, extending his hand out through the small crack in the window. “You don’t want to get married in the next five years, right?”
“Yes,” Megan answered as she fixed her hair.
“Then I’ll wait five years. But what if you change your mind after that?”
