By the time they got to the hospital, Angelina’s rash had spread almost everywhere. She hadn’t eaten much mango, yet the strong allergic response left her itching uncontrollably.
When Emily learned about this incident, she gave Isadora an earful and forbade her from bringing mangoes to the houses.
“Mom, is Angelina okay? I didn’t do it on purpose. I didn’t know she would eat it despite having an allergy.”
“From now on, don’t bring mangoes into the house. You’re not allowed to eat them too!”
“But I love mangoes!”
“There are no excuses. I’m at the hospital now. Fortunately, she’s fine.

Emily had always adored Angelina. Now that she become her daughter–in–law, she loved her
even more.
As the line went dead, Isadora couldn’t help but wonder if she was even her mother’s biological daughter.
“What’s the matter, Isadora? You don’t look so good.”
“It’s nothing.”
“I brought this for you.”
“What’s this?”
“Mango shave.”
Upon hearing this, she turned speechless. “I’m not drinking it. I have to head to the hospital.”
“What’s the matter? Don’t you love mangoes?” Rosalind shared Isadora’s love for mangoes.
“Even if I love them, I can’t have it anymore. Angelina accidentally ate some and had a severe allergy. If anything happens to her, my mom won’t forgive me.”
“Come on. No matter what, you’re still your mom’s biological daughter.”
“You don’t understand how things work in my family.”
Upon seeing the untouched mango shave on the table, Rosalind became even more envious of Angelina.
Since Angelina had an allergy reaction, the Whitmore family must have been at the hospital with her. Rosalind was certain that Chester would be there too.
“Isadora, I’ll come with you. I have nothing to do and would like to check in on her.”

Angelina’s condition was serious enough that she had to be admitted to the hospital. Her face and body were covered in rashes that hadn’t subsided.
Although frustrated, Chester didn’t blame her for eating those mangoes. He stayed by her side, ensuring that she took her medication and helped her apply ointment.
Emily, on the other hand, wasn’t letting the matter go. She spoke everything that was on Chester’s mind. “Why would you eat mangoes when you know you’re allergic to them?
“I didn’t think it through.”
“And you. Chester, it’s only been a few days. How can you give her spicy food?”
“Mom, that was on me,” Angelina explained quickly when she saw that Chester was getting
scolded.
“Angelina is still young and doesn’t know better. But you’re the older brother and should know better. How could you?” Emily was used to scolding them this way since they were children, so her words naturally slipped out.
Upon hearing this, Angelina instantly got embarrassed, while Chester nodded solemnly. “I understand, Mom. I’ll be more careful next time.
“Angelina, are you okay?”
At that moment, Isadora charged into the room, carrying a bouquet of carnations, her hair a disheveled mess from running.
“It’s all your fault for putting mangoes in the fridge. Look at Angelina now!”
“Aunt Emily.”
“Oh. Rosalind, you’re here.”
“Hello, Chester, Angeline.”
When Rosalind’s gaze fell on Angelina, she wanted to laugh at the sight of her face covered in rashes. Perhaps it was because of jealousy that she felt so petty.
Rosalind hadn’t thought much of Angelina in the past as she was just an ordinary person to her. Even when Megan gossiped to her about Angelina’s shortcomings, she had chosen not to judge without seeing it herself.
