Angelina stayed the night at the hospital, but by the next day, she was eager to go home.
Fortunately, she had only taken a small bite of the mango, so her condition wasn’t too severe. With the doctor’s approval, Chester drove her home.
Meanwhile, Isadora had already brought the mangoes in the fridge to the studio.
Megan munched on a piece of mango and asked, “Allergic to mangoes?”
“Yes.”
“Is she alright?”
“She’s better now. She should be home by now since she doesn’t like staying in hospitals.”
“Meg…” Rosalind sat next to her and suggested, “Since Angelina studied design, I thought of inviting her to join our studio. After all, greater people equals greater creativity.”
“I don’t mind.”
Megan had previously disliked Angelina, believing she was overly ambitious for her talents. However, following their recent interactions, she realized Angelina wasn’t as hopeless as she had previously believed.
“Isa, why don’t you talk to Angelina about this matter? I’m looking forward to working with her. Besides, the district fashion design competition is in two months. Each of us can submit a piece that will help promote the studio’s name. The more we participate in events like this, the better.”
“Sure.”
“Tell her not to get too stressed. Getting the district’s approval is hard, so I just asked her to draw something simple. After all, it’s more about participation than winning.”
Isadora didn’t seem to find anything wrong with Rosalind’s statements since it’s normal for the district committee to reject designs.
But once Isadora left, Megan cast a sidelong glance at Rosalind. “Rosalinda, is this all necessary? If Angelina genuinely wants to join, you shouldn’t make it difficult for her.
“When did I say I was going to make it difficult for her? I was just stating the truth and wanted her to gain experience. I have experience and am a top design academy student. Why would I want to compete against her or suppress her?”
“If you’re so innocent, then how did you guess what I was about to say?”
Her remarks took Rosalind aback. “Megan, you’re overthinking it.”

“I hope so. Angelina is Chester’s wife. If we are to work together, mutual respect is essential. Once she’s in the studio, we’re all on the same team.”
“I understand. I’m not that kind of person.”
In her mind, Angelina’s skills were not on her level to be competing with her.
Rosalind reasoned to herself that Chester only cared about Angelina because she gave birth to
his kid. Once he found out she wasn’t as amazing as he thought, he would surely be disappointed.
By then, Angelina would only embarrass herself.
When Chester came home from the studio, Angelina’s rash had largely healed. She hadn’t scratched herself, so there were no scars, but a few spots were still noticeable.
Meanwhile, Emily had gone to Florence’s home to make fries.
Emily had bought an air fryer and an oven, but because there was little space at home, she had put them in Florence’s house. So, she frequently spent her leisure time experimenting with recipes there.
The aroma of freshly cooked fries filled the air as she opened the door, holding a platter of fries. “Angelina…”
The moment she called out, Chester closed the bedroom door behind her. “What did you make this time?”
“Fries. They smell incredible!”
“Weren’t you the one who said this was junk food?”
“It’s not junk food because I made them with the air fryer. Here, try some!”
“I’ll pass. Let her sleep a little longer.”
When Angelina groggily woke up from her nap, she heard Emily speaking on the phone outside.
“Oh, you went on a business trip?” Emily sighed, her voice laced with worry. “What’s happening with the company? You’ve only been there for a short time, but why are they already sending you on a business trip?”
