Chapter 7
A month later, Caleb donated his kidney to Nicole.
The surgery went well. Aside from Caleb’s body taking a hit due to his age, both of them came out fine.
Alexis had some issues with Nicole, so she hired a nurse to take care of her. Alexis focused on Caleb’s recovery and never visited Nicole again.
Two months later, both of them were discharged from the hospital.
Nicole took the money Caleb and Alexis had given her, emptied. most of their bank account, and left for another city without telling them.
Before she left, she tried to see Isaac, but he avoided her. Their engagement was called off.
On the day Nicole left, Caleb and Alexis visited my grave.
They had bought a plot for me. Since there were no ashes, they. buried my clothes instead.
In just two months, Caleb’s back had hunched. The strong, towering man from before seemed to have aged overnight, now showing signs of weariness.

And Alexis’s hair had turned almost completely gray.

They placed flowers on my grave and whispered, “Amelia, we’re here to see you. We wronged you so much in this life. We don’t expect your forgiveness, just hope you’ll visit us in our dreams

“We know we were wrong and understand how hard your life has been! We’ve cut ties with Nicole. From now on, you’re our
only daughter!
“Amelia, your life was too painful. In your next life, don’t be our daughter again…”
Okay!
My spirit answered from above.
Mom, Dad, in my next life, I swear I won’t be your daughter again.
I hope in our next life, and the one after that, we never meet again!
After spending the whole afternoon, Caleb and Alexis finally left.
Once they were gone, someone stepped out from behind the
tombstone. It was Isaac.
He knelt down, touching the photo of me on the gravestone, his face twisted in pain.

I looked at the man I once loved more than anything, but now, I felt nothing.
Maybe it was the moment Isaac chose to believe Nicollaud killed our child with his own hands that I stopped loving him.
I watched his regret with cold eyes, feeling nothing, untill Scarlett arrived.
“Amelia is gone. Why are you pretending to be all heartbroken now? Meeting you was the worst thing that ever happened to her. Even in death, you won’t let her rest?”
Scarlett’s words were harsh and cutting.
Isaac knew he shouldn’t stay any longer, so he numbly walked
away.
As he left, I saw a flicker of despair in his eyes.
Scarlett was about to throw away the things they brought but decided to leave them.
She tidied up the flowers on my grave. “Amelia, I’m here to see you.”
Scarlett cracked open a beer and poured it in front of the tombstone.
“We made a promise. This life was too painful for you.

The moment agreed to Scarlett’s request, I felt my soul gettingg lighter, my lady becoming more see–through.
Finally, I vanilled into thin air, gone forever.
