Victor shoved Silas aside and rushed at me like a mad bull. “You said you never cheated on me! Then who’s he?!
“I searched everywhere for you, but you moved in with him?! Nina, you shameless bitch!”
Silas‘ expression was cold. He ignored the pain in his arm and shielded me with his body. “What she does is up to her. You have no right to interfere! Please leave my house at once!”
Victor swung his fist at Silas, who caught his punch and held on tightly,
“Victor Gayes, do you think you can continue living guiltfree if you can accuse me of cheating? In your dreams!
“You lied to me for three whole years! Not even once did you truly feel guilty for what you were doing to me.
“You just didn’t want anyone to find out and scold you. You kept making excuses for yourself, justifying your actions. Victor Gayes, you’re a coward! A spineless coward, through and through!”
“Nina Morgan, you’ll never find a better man than me in your life! I’ll give you three days. After three days, you’ll never see me again!”
Victor threw a medical report at me and turned to leave. Silas followed him until he was gone from the house.
I collapsed to the floor, tears flowing endlessly.
How could he do this to me? I admit, he was very kind to me before. But why did he have to keep denying how much he hurt me?
Was it because I never had my parents‘ love? Did he think I had no other choice than him?
I was starting to regret ever telling him about my childhood. I only confided in him to get some of the weight off my chest, and to close the distance between us. I did not want any secrets between us.
Now, he was using my past trauma as another way to hurt me.
Silas comforted me wordlessly.

I did not know what he thought of me, and lid not want to explain.
If I barely understood my husband of many years, how could I understand a brand- new friend?
