I did not know when Silas showed up, but he patted my shoulder from behind while I was standing off against Victor and Rachel.
My feelings were mixed when I saw him. I hoped someone would take me away, because I was sick of these people hurting me and trying to provoke me.
However, I did not want Silas to be that someone.
A slight breeze fluttered hia short sleeves.
“Keep a leash on that thing and make sure it never shows up again, especially not in front of Nina!” Silas threatened Victor and Rachel coolly. He then patted my shoulder lightly, as though encouraging me.
“Nina, I know you won’t believe me no matter what I say now. I’ll be waiting for you at home. Whenever you want to come back, I’ll always be there,” Victor said softly.
“There’s no need for that. You two can live happily ever after as long as you bother me.”
