The flight to Australia took me away from the places I had known, leaving my past in the clouds.
Goodbye, Victor. We shall never meet again,
The next day before the wedding, Victor realized he could not reach me no matter how he tried. He instantly abandoned Rachel in her wedding dress, running straight for the hospital.
All that awaited him was a long–empty bed.
Victor ran around the hospital like a madman, searching every room for his precious Nina.
“Nina Morgan, come out! I’m begging you, this isn’t funny!”
Victor searched the whole hospital to no avail, then he broke the speed limit to rush home. Of course, there were no traces of me left for him to find.
He blew up my phone and bombarded me with texts, but I had blocked him ages ago. He tore the divorce papers to shreds, ignoring all of Rachel’s calls.
“I don’t care where you’re hiding, Nina! I’ll find you again!”
Meanwhile, I reached a place where the sun always shone. I basked in the sunlight, took in the ocean breeze, walking freely amidst the crowd.
After a few days‘ rest, I found a local hospital and did a full–body checkup. As I thought, my uterus was gone.
The doctor consoled me when he saw how upset I was. I forced a smile and said I was
fine.
I was not fine. I had been hoping for a baby for five years.
As a child, I never had my parents‘ love. Just as I was lost and wondering why, appeared in my life.
Victor
He gave me all his love. He showed me what it meant to be happy, to be loved.
My childhood taught me that not all parents love their children, but Victor made me look forward to starting a new family. I wanted to start a family with him.
However, we could not conceive for ages after getting married.
