“They blocked the path for my daughter and me.”
“Declan, you’re just a useless fool, why should I be faithful to you?”
Declan stepped back, his finger pointing at Fiona trembling.
He soon collapsed, twitching on the ground.
Declan had a stroke and would spend the rest of his life bedridden.
Gideon locked him in a remote nursing home and forced Fiona to take care of him.
Fiona, who had lived in luxury for years, now had to take care of an old man.
She soon couldn’t bear it, and abused Declan.
They tortured each other, neither willing to let go.
Ezra sent Nora to a mental institution and instructed the staff to “take good care” of her.
Nora soon went insane.
Ezra took my body home, talking to it and sleeping beside it every day.
Gideon, trying to retrieve my body, clashed with Ezra.
The Ezra and Gideon families were both ruined, soon devoured by other families.
Fiona, who had enjoyed a life of luxury for years, now found herself responsible for the intimate and exhausting care of an elderly man. It wasn’t long before her patience wore thin, and she vented her frustration on Declan, either verbally or physically. They were locked in a cycle of mutual torment, neither willing to let the other go.
Ezra had Nora committed to a psychiatric hospital, instructing the staff to “take good care” of her, a command laden with sinister intent. Inevitably, Nora lost her sanity.
Ezra brought my lifeless body home, cradling it and speaking to it each night until he drifted off to sleep. Determined to reclaim my remains, Gideon confronted Ezra, leading to a fierce rivalry.
Both The Bennett Family and The Carter Family fell into ruin, their ashes quickly consumed by other families. I observed dispassionately as each of them received their just deserts.
Then, unexpectedly, the system informed me that I could return. Before joy could fully take hold, I heard Ezra’s voice filled with astonishment.
“Mabel, is that you?”
I turned to see both Ezra and Gideon staring at me, eyes wide with disbelief. In the next moment, they rushed towards me, but no matter how hard they tried, they could not reach me.
Ezra’s eyes grew red with desperation, “Mabel, I was wrong. Please, don’t leave me.”
Gideon was overcome with sorrow, “Sister, this is my fault. Please, come back, okay?”
Watching them break down in tears and regret, I turned away without hesitation. Their heart–wrenching cries echoed behind me.
A flash of white light enveloped me, and I was back in my original world.
The system’s voice whispered in my ear, “Congratulations, host. Task completed, rewards have been credited.”
I finally had a healthy body. Yet, I remained alone.
As if sensing my thoughts, the system gently encouraged, “Please, host, continue living. Those you hold dear will eventually find their way

I finally had a healthy body. Yet, I remained alone.
As if sensing my thoughts, the system gently encouraged, “Please, host, continue living. Those you hold dear will eventually find their way
back to you.”
With its final words, the voice faded away.
I stood there, tears of joy streaming down my face.
So, my mother and child will come back to me, right?
