Rosette tried her best to keep her glee from boiling over and interjected, “Clarice, I know you are against Dianne donating her kidney to me. I admit it was wrong for us to keep it a secret from you. Still, how could you be so vicious and continue wishing for her death?
“I may be an outsider, but I still have the heart to forgive her for what she did. How could you curse her like this? Do you call yourself her mother?”
“Shut up, you witch! Don’t you dare even speak my daughter’s name again! You were the one who should have died instead!”
The hatred had overwhelmed me to the point of bursting through my chest. I got up and charged madly at her. I was going to tear her apart with the sheer force of my hands!
Before I could even grab her, Leo yanked me back by my hair. “How dare you try to hurt her?!”
Terrified, Rosette frantically reversed the electric wheelchair from me while whimpering pathetically, “Leo, I was just trying to talk some sense into her. I didn’t think she would be so unreasonable.”
“Don’t be scared, Rosette, Nobody’s going to hurt you with me around. Just wait. I’ll make things right for you.” Then, he turned to me with the most murderous look I had ever seen. “I didn’t know you were such a good actress. How could you become so shameless just for attention?
“There is a limit to my patience. You have ten seconds to bring Dianne out to see me, or else! Ten, nine…”
He was vexed at this point and proceeded to kick Dianne’s ashes on the floor to scatter them
further.
