Chapter 137
Ethan strode confidently into the police station, exuding an air of self–importance as he made his way toward Samuel Bell’s office. Midway there, a young officer stepped in his path, blocking his advance.
“Who are you here to see! You can’t just walk in. If you’ve got business, take it to the waiting room,” the officer said, completely oblivious to who Ethan was, as he tried to steer him toward the visitor’s area.
Ethan’s expression darkened. Despite his irritation, he maintained a façade of decorum and replied politely. “I need to see Mr. Bell. I know him well. I used to walk straight into his office without any issues
The officer gave him a skeptical once–over as if beginning to recognize him, but his tone remained firm. “I’m sorry, Mr. Bell isn’t available to see you today. You’ll have to wait outside
With that the officer ushered Ethan hack into the main lobby. Several times, Ethan tried to speak, but each attempt was cut off, leaving him to sit- haming, in a cold metal chair in the lobby.
He huffed, seething quietly, determined to confront Samuel later and see how that rude officer would account for his behavior. Ethan waited in the police station for over two hours
At first, be managed to sit back and pass the time, convinced that the officer would eventually come over to apologize. But as the minutes ticked by.
feeling of unease crept in.
Growing impatient. Ethan began demanding to see Samuel again. Just when he was sure he’d be stonewalled once more, someone finally escorted him into Samuel’s office.
“Well. Mr. Bell, you certainly keep yourself busy these days. It seems I can hardly get a
a moment with you. Ethan said grandly the moment he entered, using his tone to vent his frustration at being left waiting for so long.
Samuel sat at his desk, looking unruffled, only glancing up with a cool, detached expression. “What can I do for you!”
What s with this ammade. Ethan’s heart skipped a beat, suddenly feeling a bit on edge.
Suppressing his temper, Ethan forced himself to remain civil. “I just wanted to check on what sort of trouble Noah’s gotten himself into this ume
BANG!
Samuel, previously calm, suddenly slammed a file onto the desk, the loud thud punctuating his sudden anger.
“Are you telling me you don’t know what your son has done!” he demanded, his voice cold and unforgiving.
Erhan jumped, feigning innocence. “1… I really don’t know! He’s grown up now. He doesn’t tell me everything he does
Samuels face remained stony as he tapped the file again, the sound sharp and icy. “You’d better be truly in the dark, Mr. Wright. Your son’s responsible for three deaths.
We have witnesses and evidence to prove it. If you’re here to bail him out, you can leave

Just as he began to process the grim news of Noah’s crime and the impossibility of bail, another call came in. He answered only to hear that his eldest son had been caught trafficking drugs at the border and was arrested on the spot
Ethan managed to keep himself from lashing out in Sammel’s presence, but his panic was evident as he barked orders to the caller to get a Lawyer inolved immediately. Before he could even catch his breathi, yet another call came through
Seeing it was from his second son’s construction company, Ethan frit his heart drop, a gnawing sense of dread rising within him.

In a single day, all three of his sons had run into catastrophic trouble. If Ethan hadn’t yet realized he was being targeted, he’d be an utter fool.
But as he racked his brain, he couldn’t fathom who in Riverdale had the power to orchestrate such a calculated strike, leaving him this utterly humiliated.
Heart pounding, filled with a terrible anxiety, he turned to Samuel, cautiously asking, “Mr. Bell, who exactly has Noah crossed!”
