Fiona was momentarily speechless.
Audrey didn’t give Fiona a chance and continued, “If you’re so righteous, shouldn’t you bring the murderer to justice and give peace to the unborn child?”
Hearing this, Eliza suddenly felt a panic rise within her. She began to go over things in her mind, wondering if she had destroyed all the surveillance footage.
The way Audrey looked made Eliza doubt whether Audrey had by solid evidence. But Eliza felt reassured when she remembered that she had personally destroyed all the show’s surveillance equipment before facing Audrey.
Eliza thought. Nothing to worry about; Audrey is just putting on an act, struggling in vain!
Both Fiona and Eliza felt guilty and didn’t dare to contradict Audrey.
However, Zephyra was completely bewildered and didn’t understand Audrey’s hidden meaning. She frowned and said impatiently, “Stop bickering, Audrey. Since you know everything why don’t you turn yourself in?”
“Are you really waiting for us to call the police and have you arrested?
Audrey gave Zephyra a nonchalant glance and said nothing
Dominic, however, couldn’t bear the thought of Audrey really getting into trouble. He stood up on purpose, giving Andrey at gentle push, and said gruffly, “You should leave, you’re not welcome here!”
He thought. I should Let Audrey leave first; any issues can be addressed after Mom’s anger has cooled down. Otherwise, letting them keep arguing will only make things worse.
Unfortunately, Audrey wasn’t thankful, nor did she need to be. She calmly pushed away Dominic’s hand and flicked the sleeve he had touched as if brushing off the dust.
Then, she said coolly, “You don’t need to force me out. I’ll leave, but not with an unfounded accusation.”
With that, she turned to James beside her and said, “Mr. Scott, since they’re still denying it, let’s show everyone the evidence.”
Everyone in the room was stunned. They all wondered ‘Evidence? What is it?
Lying on the hospital bed, Eliza panicked when she heard the word evidence.
The journalists and media around perked their ears, eager for the scoop. They whispered amongst themselves in hushed
tones
One said, “Could there really be a twist?”
Another person said, “No idea, but this is getting more intriguing as it unfolds.”
Someone said, “Just watch. I’m sure this is going to be big news.”
All the reporters were suddenly energized, as if they’d had an adrenaline rush, eagerly watching the drama.
James was upset that he hadn’t protected Audrey earlier, which had resulted in her getting hit. Hearing Audrey’s instructions, James quickly pulled out some papers from the briefcase he was carrying.
He shook the documents, preparing to distribute them. He said. To make it easier for everyone to read, I’ve prepared hard copies of all the evidence. Please take a look”

Fiona hadn’t expected Audrey to come so prepared, and her face darkened as she dashed forward, trying to grab the documents from James’s hands.
“I won’t let you slander my daughter!” Fiona shouted loudly, lunging at James like a whirlwind.
