As soon as Jessica entered the living room, she saw Alistair standing by the dining table.
Alistair had a striking face and a commanding presence; he was not an old and sleazy man.
Just as Jessica was feeling puzzled, Audrey pointed at Alistair and said, “Mom, let me introduce you to my husband, Alistair.”
Jessica was surprised. She thought, “What’s going on? Isn’t Ausreg’s husband supposed to be an old, sleazy guy? How does he suddenly turn into a young and handsome man?‘

Hearing such a young handsome guy call her Mom made Jessica’s mind go blank for a moment. Unconsciously, she turned to look at Audrey and blurted out, “Audrey, isn’t your husband supposed to be an old geezer?”
Jessica thought, ‘How does he suddenly turn into a handsome guy? Could it be that Audrey’s secretly seeing a handsome guy on the side behind the old man’s back and even bringing him home?”
Alistair was speechless. He thought, ‘Who started the rumor that I am just some old guy? Isn’t this deliberately making me look bad in front of Audrey’s mother?’
Audrey couldn’t help but laugh. She held Jessica’s arm and teased, “Mom, where did you hear that my husband is an old geezer?”
She thought, ‘Even though Alistair is three years older than me, he certainly isn’t an old geezer.

Alistair knew Audrey and Jessica had things to discuss, so he offered to give them some space and said, “I’ll go make a couple more dishes”
Sunny looked at Alistair’s back and sat on the single–seat sofa with his toy. But his eyes were still intently fixed on Jessica, not yet ready to accept Jessica who suddenly appeared in his home
As soon as Alistair left, Jessica quickly grabbed Audrey’s hand. She lowered her voice and cautiously asked, “Audrey, please tell me, what’s going on? Is this guy your husband?”
Seeing the concern and worry in Jessica’s expression, Audrey felt a warm glow inside. She smiled and softly said, “Yes, he is my husband”
Jessica was still a bit skeptical. She asked, “He is so young and handsome. Why would he rush into a marriage with you, Audrey? Could it be a seam, maybe?”
