He had loved Heather so deeply once–how had it come to this?
As the thoughts churned in his mind, Mitchell’s expression darkened.
If it hadn’t been for Bethany’s deliberate seduction, he wouldn’t have done so many things to hurt Heather.
Now that Heather was gone, what right did Bethany, the root cause of it all, have to live her life undisturbed?
“Heather, I’ll make it up to you. No matter who made you unhappy, I won’t let them get away with it,” Mitchell muttered under his breath before storming out of the house and heading to

Chapter 15
Bethany’s villa.
For days, Mitchell had been consumed with searching for Heather, and Bethany had faded from his thoughts entirely.
He knew the way to her villa all too well. Countless times, on nights when Heather was fast asleep, he had sneaked out to see Bethany.
But none of those nights had ever felt this gut–wrenching.
If he had known it would lead to this, he would never have betrayed Heather.
Yet no amount of regret could change the fact that Heather was gone. All he could do now was avenge her.
Half an hour later, Mitchell arrived at the villa. The lights inside were still on.
He rang the doorbell, and a housekeeper quickly answered.
“Mr. Bennett, Ms. Caldwell is in the shower-”
Before she could finish, Mitchell pushed past her and strode inside.
As he reached the staircase, Bethany appeared at the landing, wrapped in a towel, drawn out by the commotion.
When she saw Mitchell, her eyes lit up with joy. She loosened her towel just enough for it to slip slightly, revealing glimpses of skin.
“Mitchell, what brings you here so late?” she purred, walking toward him.
Her fingers reached for his hand, tracing circles in his palm.
Mitchell looked down at their intertwined hands, his mind flashing back to all the times he had given in to her temptations. The thought made him want to tear Bethany apart.
Vanessa’s words echoed in his mind–Bethany’s cheap tactics were painfully obvious.
But back then, his growing disconnection from Heather had driven him to seek thrills elsewhere.
Bethany’s calculated seduction had worked, and Mitchell had pretended to be swayed, falling into her trap.
The first time they slept together, he’d felt guilty, unsure of how to face Heather.
But Heather’s unwavering trust in him had made it easier for him to justify his actions, leading to a spiral of betrayal until he was fully ensnared.
Now, Mitchell’s gaze turned icy cold.
He had no desire to flirt with Bethany. His voice was sharp and unforgiving as he glared at her.
“Bethany, I warned you to never let Heather know about us!”
