In just three months, Mitchell had turned into a shadow of himself, his once muscular frame now gaunt and unable to even fill out his suit properly.
If it weren’t for the light in his eyes, Heather might have mistaken him for an empty shell, a walking corpse with no soul.
But seeing him like this didn’t stir any sympathy in Heather’s heart.
She stopped about ten feet away from Mitchell, her voice cold and detached.
